Try not to be so outraged. It's an interesting situation to see if the judge will allow it. Yeah Republicans in Harris County are trying to cheat, will they be allowed to?

I am not arguing in favor of Trump, just pointing out the hypocrisy of the left. The Democrats and Republicans are both poison, Biden or Trump... it's doesn't matter, neither of them are steering the ship. America has been facing inwards for 20 years now, Trump may have accelerated a few things, but that's it. A Biden win won't change anything, other than appearing to be "nice".

This is what’s most concerning. It’s almost like an apathy has set in and some people are numb to just how alarming the past 4 years have been. I can’t imagine another 4 years with Trump at the reign of power and it is beyond alarming they are going to these lengths to ensure Trump remains in place. That’s an act of terrorism to the election and it’s being performed by representatives of the State. It’s shocking what has become of American politics and seeing the Republicans turn their cheating ways up to 11 to try and secure their puppet of a leader... it’s absolutely garbage.

Yep, that is why people relying on polls for their peace of mind need to stay vigilante. The poll results assume that there won't be a great bending in the democratic process.
Trump might only have a 10% chance of winning the election, but he probably has a 40-50% chance of stealing it.

Well according to your logic there really hasn’t been a democratic vote in the last 20 years as the past leaders haven’t really been ‘steering the ship’ and American was destined for... what trump accelerated?? I don’t buy it and AFC isn’t being dramatic, Trump is trying to turn America into a dictatorship and he’s not trying to even hide it.

Oh there will still be elections, Don Jr will get 80% of the vote, then Ivanka will get 95% sometime in the 2040's when Jr strokes out

Beat me to it. Thanks!
Anyone who thinks this is being over-dramatic clearly hasn't been paying attention over the last 4 years. The GOP have already attained their ultimate goal in stacking the Supreme Court. Trump holding onto power will only push the U.S. further into authoritarianism, and it'll happen a lot quicker than you think.

Do you think that Biden would have listened to medical experts that would have likely prevented the death of thousands of Americans and the continued erosion of the US, and therefore global, economy?
How about his approach to the climate crisis?
What about his tax policy that would cut taxes to middle and lower classes rather than the wealthy?
These are all very tangible differences between the candidates and parties in general. The false equivalences argument is shallow and lazy.

Trump isn't a dictator, you think he has all this power lol, give me a break. If he didn't tweet stupid #### every 20 minutes, and acted like Obama you wouldn't be saying this. His words are meaningless, he knows how to control the media and the narrative, and people all over all falling for it. That's my 0.02

If the erosion of democracy in the worlds most powerful nation isn't cause for alarm and outrage than what is?

But you know, the other side has a candidate who is 3 and a half years older, and besides something something Hunter Biden something something laptops. So, you know... both sides, many sides.
That anyone could draw an equivalency between these choices is honestly unfathomable. Only one party is openly assaulting American democracy here. Can we please stop pretending this is a normal “choice” election?
And yes I do think this lawsuit shows the GOP is very worried about Texas right now.

The Burisma scandal is what's wrong with American politics, the left and the media are blindly ignoring it - when it is precisely the problem. Both sides are guilty, but the media crafts the narrative.

All while slamming through 3 Supreme Court justices and tearing down any democratic bill with Obama’s name on it in the process. This last 4 years was just setting up shop for Trump and honestly Trump is a figure head for the Mitch McConnell’s, Chuck Grassley’s, Lindsey Graham’s and on and on who are happily taking away basic rights from Americans while ignoring a once in a century pandemic and filling the pockets of the rich Billionaires of the world of which Trump professes to be lol. This is just a terrible take honestly; I’m not falling for ... what exactly?? I still don’t know quite exactly what the ‘it’ your referring to is??

Yes, people are falling for it. Like the people in the Charlottesville rally that resulted in one person murdered. Or the people who refuse to follow Covid protocols and instead listen to Trump, which has resulted in the unnecessary death of thousands.
BTW- Trump has had more executive orders than any other President in history and it's not particularly close. He may not be a dictator yet but he's come as close as any President.

Agreed. Now answer this: which party tried to remove big money from politics in the Citizens United case and which actively fought to keep it in?

The Supreme Court was compromised a long time ago, it was never supposed to be this partisan. Obama was pressuring RBG to retire so he could appoint a justice of his choosing (she wanted to wait for Hilary to be POTUS) - he wanted to slam through 3 Supreme Court justices, and he would've. And if he did - you'd hear the exact same rhetoric from the Republicans crying about "losing our democracy". It's all so predictable.

I always say to my kids that skepticism is healthy and a positive force but cynicism is lazy, uninformed and counterproductive. It's a fine line that's very easy to cross.
