Isles with a very strong game against a tough LA squad.

Top line of Perezhogin-Getzlaf-Svatos is money! 5 points for that trio tonight.

McCauley with a good game getting two goals from the 3rd line with Wellwood and Zigomanis.

Frank Kaberle with the big 28-minute game.

sabres 4 flames 1

a good win for the Sabres, comprehensively outplaying the Flames, although Vaananen scored with 15 seconds remaining to spoil Giguere's shutout. Rolston was the man of the match with 4 points and Jed Ortmeyer responded from a healthy scratch the night before with 2 points. The lines were a little quirky and both Ortmeyer and Endicott made surprise appearances on the PP and responded with goals. The Sabres PP , amongst the league's worst for the first half is now climbing the charts, although the PK remains league worst

Alex "chronic fatigue syndrome " Steen remains at 98% whether on the 3rd or 4th line or pressbox, so the Sabres will continue to run out 7 d as they face Boston a team who has beat them 3 times this year, tomorrow.

Big win for the Capitals to close in on the Canadiens and Panthers..... however Pat Rissmiller was lost for what could be the rest of the season.... He is out 2 to 4 months with a Bruised brain...

Look for the Caps to try and shore up their bottom lines before the deadline.

Big win by the Pens as they all but eliminate the Nords from the playoff race after the Bolts win. The Pens for once did the injuring rather then being the injured. Spezza buried #35 and Kolzig was very solid in the win for the Pens. The Pens rest up on Thursday before heading to Carolina on Friday for a huge divisional showdown.

More like the Penguins all but did their math.

With 86 games in a season, the Nordique still have 20 games left, while the Bolts have 19. The Bolts are only 15 points up on the Nords. A swing of 8 games either way could see the Nords overtake the Bolts, or see Quebec on the golf course. Although the Nords would have liked to have won the game, the loss doesn't quite have the undertones the Penguins would have you believe. In the end, if I'm short by one point, then you can have your cake Goffie...

Love your work Goffie...

Sorry if I hit a nerve Protto cause don't get me wrong I think you vastly improved your team this year, and didn't mean anything by that simple comment. However it doesn't take Pythagorus to figure that the Nords playoff hopes are pretty much dead. With 19 games left let us say the Bolts slide and win just 8. That would give them 90 points on the year. The Nords would then have to win 16 of there 20 games down the stretch to give them 91 points. That is a lot to ask for the Panthers or Canadiens to win that many games let a lone a team who is not playing 500 hockey through the first 66 games. Realistically I would guess that the Bolts would win at least 10 games meaning that the Nords when then have to win 18/20. You wanted me to do "research" before I post so that is my statistical research for today.

No offense taken... Just letting people know that I'm gonna fight to the end. I have posted many a time that I barely expect to pull this off... but I can't just give up at this point. No one knows the sim, so anything is possible.

I just don't want to give you the credit...

You might as well give up now and do what the Habs did last year. That is the better route for you to take.

I don't remember what that route is, but it's not fighting until the end, I'm not gonna take it. I have 2 UFAs heading into next season, I don't own my own 1st rounder, and I'm not eliminated yet. Plus, if I catch Drew, or anyone above them, I would like to rub it in their faces as well.

I'm not dismantling, and I'm not giving up.
