Well they're going to be 6-5 pretty soon so I wouldn't read too much into that start.

God Nagy is a horrific playcaller.

You know it's a good Monday nighter when a punter is the MVP of the game.

Go look at the sched and tell me what great team they have played so far besides the Cards, and explain the worst defence in the league.

At least the Rams offence was good enough to keep the ball for 3 downs and punt it. Not sure we will see that when the Jets and Patriots play each other in two weeks on Monday Night.

Great defense and some good luck against mediocre opponents for the most part. Their QB situation is terrible as that organization is wasting a championship caliber defense with a garbage offense.

They have had 1 legitimate win against a good team in TB. their defense is still top 5 but realistically it doesnt matter between Foles or Trubisky as the OL may be the leagues worst turning what could be a pro bowl RB into a dud. Another championship calibre defense wasted.

Nagy may be worse than Trestman.

Well 7 weeks in, and some of what I thought in week one still holds true. Some of it doesn't. Some of it not sure.

Still true

The NFC East is terrible. In a way it's too bad the Giants blew that game because the Giants, Cowboys, and WTF would be in a 3 way tie for first at 2-5 with the 1-5-1 Eagles having lost 2 Division games hot on their tails.

The NFC West is good...still true with 2 teams at 5-2 another at 5-1 and the last place 49'ers at 4-3. Pretty easy to see a 9-7 team coming last in that Division.

The Vikings defence is not good and the Packers likely win the Division.

Atlanta is still good at losing and will start the season 1-6.

Tennessee is the best team in the South.

Adam Gase should be the first coach fired.

False...

Browns are no different than last year...not true, they are better. Maybe not great having beat some weaker teams, but still a better overall team than last year.

Pittsburgh will be more than a Wild Card team, they look like they will go toe to toe with the Ravens.

The Saints should win the NFC South easily...they'll be challenged pretty hard by Tampa Bay. Saints are okay, but not a powerhouse. Carolina is better than I thought, not a playoff team, but a team that can end up 7-9 and be in most games.

Tom Brady needs to be scaled back, again wrong there. He doesn't have inhuman arm strength like Mahomes, Rogers, Wilson, or even Kyler Murray. But it's still pretty good and he does seem to be getting more comfortable in that Tampa Bay offence and making more plays every week.

The AFC East would be a two team race...maybe right, but New England isn't one of the teams. Perhaps the whole Covid thing is hitting them harder than expected, but it's 3 straight weeks where they looked awful on offence. Miami on the other hand....I said Tua time in week 5...it will happen in week 8, but not because Fitz was bad, but because they are playing well and are going to see if the younger guy can keep the spark going.

Might be a lie but I think I need more time to admit it.

AFC West teams are better than last year and Kansas City won't be gifted the Division. The Chiefs at 6-1 have a 2.5 game lead although the Raiders did beat them head to head. The Raiders had a tough game against Tampa but in large are thru the worst of their schedule. I still think when their line is in tact they have a pretty dynamic offense. But they sort of undid themselves this past week. The Chargers are still often hard luck losers, but they too might be better than their 2-4 record would indicate. Denver has had a tough year for injuries too. If healthy they might be better...but they aren't, and they'll finish last in this Division.

At this point in the NFC I would expect
Seattle
Green Bay
Tampa Bay
Philadelphia to be the Division winners (Eagles finish at 6-9-1)
Arizona
San Francisco
New Orleans
to claim the Wild Card spots

In the AFC
Baltimore
Tennesssee
Kansas City
Buffalo to win their Divisions
Pittsburgh
Cleveland
Las Vegas to be the Wild Card teams.

After Pittsburgh though, the AFC is still pretty open as Miami, Indianapolis, Chargers, and if they figure out their offence New England could be in the mix.

In the NFC you'll need 10 or 11 wins to get a playoff spot (unless you are in the NFC East). In the AFC, I expect a 9 win team to make it.

What the above post said. 3 wildcard teams, it’s possible.

The moron wastes the best QB in the league the past 2 years and calls mostly run plays until the 4th quarter. He finally gets his head out of his ass this year and lets Russ cook, only to have the worst defence in the league.

How will the new NFL playoffs work?

Quote:
The addition of two teams in the NFL playoffs means wild-card weekend will be a much bigger affair from next season. With only one team guaranteed a first-round bye, the other six franchises will all feature in the opening weekend of the postseason, with six games on the schedule instead of four.

The revamped wild-card round will see the No.2 seed in both conferences host the No.7 seed, with the No.3 seed welcoming the No. 6 seed and the No.4 seed playing the No.5 seed at home. This season, wild-card weekend will consist of three games played on Saturday, January 9, 2021 and three games on Sunday, January 10, 2021.

As it was the case under the old playoff system, the No. 1 seed in both conferences will have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Makes all kinds of sense in that obviously the team needs a real #2 WR but also that LaFleur coached at Notre Dame the year Fuller broke out, so he would know his abilities well.

Carlos Dunlap is on his way to Seattle. With the yardage and points they surrender every week, any pass rushing help is likely welcomed. They once got a disgruntled Marshawn Lynch for a 7th round pick.
