We finished Haunting of Bly Manor this weekend. This started off great. Spooky, a little scary with interesting characters. But in the end I can’t recommend, rather poor final episode IMO. Too bad as I still enjoyed all the characters.
I had to stop at episode 4 of Bly Manor. I couldn't handle the brutal accents and the kids. It wasn't scary enough to hold my attention to whatever they were building to.
I'll just casually throw in a recommendation for the earlier movie version of this story, The Innocents. Deborah Kerr was so great in this, it made it hard to even watch the mini-series version.

Holy fata Hubie Halloween with Adam Sandler is the worst (to the surprise of nobody, I'm sure). I made it exactly halfway through before giving up. Maybe it picks up in the second half.

Wife and I plan to watch it on Halloween.. I imagine I will enjoy it but I know exactly what its going to be and not expecting anything more.

If Sandler didn't do the stupid voice it would have been 80% more watchable but still only about 30% watchable.

Adam Sandler just isn't funny anymore. His best movies in the past 15 years were Funny People and Uncut Gems. In Funny People he plays a parody of himself. Uncut Gems is clearly not a comedy.
Netflix paid Sandler $275 million to churn out mediocre crap.... And that's what he does.

the guy has had a great career, though.
sure he makes stupid stuff, but he gets paid a lot of money to basically have fun with his friends.

Surprised you got halfway I think I made it maybe 3 minutes. My brother and I saw Ben Stillers reprisal of his Happy Gilmore character and thought we had to watch for nostalgias sake. It was a mistake.

I loved it, but I give Sandler a free pass on everything.

Not even Julie Bowen could keep me interested.
I was just there for the free snuggles with my kids. When they finally gave up on the movie it was a big relief.
I had heard that he was good in Uncut Gems but then when I watched it it was just Adam Sandler playing loud Adam Sandler. The Safdie brothers are the most overrated thing going right now.
