Well, that is simply untrue. The Flames were utterly dominant the entire game, but especially in the second and third.

Should have used green text. I was poking fun at Blaster who likes to think the Canucks chose to be pumped with shots as part of their master plan. Instead of the more obvious conclusion that they weren't playing well.

You clearly didn’t need to.

But why?

Why would he think a logical and sane goalie would willingly sign with Edmonton if he had other choices?

It is a goalie graveyard in the truest sense.

It’s just not rational or logical.

I’m sure having a close friend in Lindholm and a couple other Swedes on the roster helped quite a bit in landing Markstrom actually. Probably way more than people give credit for actually.

He even said it did, also he likes the coach!

Sorry CP, Ward helped land the top FA goalie

Or just being a Swede. Everyone in Sweden knows Edmonton stinks.

Listening to the Markstrom interview on the FAN. Doesn’t sound like Lindholm had to really sell Markstrom on the city. Happy with Lindy and Backs on the team but it sounds like he chose Calgary because of their sales pitch and the fact he thinks they are a good team.

I have to give credit to Treliving for the signing. He’s got a plan and finally nailed his starting goalie. If Markström is the one time will tell.

The AAV is right, but term is long - on the other hand in year 3-6 this team will probably look a lot different.

Who knows if this will let up a bit of pressure on JG and Monahan since they don’t feel they need to score every game to win. Because looking back this team’s best seasons has (obviously) been on the back on good goaltending.

I’m positive and hopeful, but it’s also Friday night and maybe it’s that first beer and aquavit speaking.

I'll be patiently waiting for the Markstrom to Andersson to Backlund to Lindholm goal that's for sure.

Dangit, I should have put him in. I knew I missed something. I'd petition for 4 assists to be credited on that one.

Had to Google it. Dill and/or caraway flavoured kinda vodka. Not sure why that was invented.
