He was on pace for over 60 points last season and roughly 20 goals.

Pretty good deal really.

This guy was part of a suggested package for Johnny.

I see New York on the brink. They have some young talent all over their lineup and it's time to add another scorer. Jack Eichel would cost too much, but someone like Johnny Gaudreau could cost a little bit less, and the Rangers may be rich enough to handle a trade like this. Georgiev, and one of their young D - maybe a Anthony Deangelo, throw in a draft-pick and that would be an interesting package for the Flames to mull over. Keep an eye on the Rangers.

That looks to be speculation rather than a rumor though

I've heard nothing but bad things about this guy, outside of his hockey skill of course

Great news for fans of rival Metro teams.

DeAngelo got a one year deal of 925 K after his 30 pts in 60 games

He is 1 year older than Andersson 6 x 4.55 . Would be the best comparison on the Flames to this player?

Andersson is getting paid 18 M 4x4.55 for his 4 RFA years. DeAngelo will get 10.7 plus what he get for his last RFA year.

Is it reasonable to expect that Anderson jumps to the 60 pt range this year?

Do fancy stats favor Andersson?

RFA payment of 4.8 M seems totally out of line with the UFA contracts for Brodie and Barrie and makes Tanev's contract look reasonable.

What were Deangelo's options if the Rangers gave him a 2x2?
