Damn rights Judy Blume's Superfudge was the best book,. I also enjoyed the mystery books from Wilson (Canadian author that first name slips my mind) He wrote stuff like Disneyland Hostage, Kootenay Kidnapper etc...

When I was a kid I read a lot of those Tintin and Asteryx comics. Also, when I was really small I really liked Jelly Belly, despite a lot of the stories and illustrations scaring the crap out of me.

Mercer Meyer was my favourite kids book author. I have all of his books from when I was little.

I happened upon the Similarian at a garage sale when I was very young and bought it for .25 cents. After reading that I went to the Hobbit, then LOTR. I read those books 2 or 3 times before I graduated grade school. By far my favourite series of all time.

Another great book I picked up when I was about 9- Sir Gawaine and the Green Knight. A very short novel, 100 pages or so, but to my suprise I ended up reading it again in my first year of university :P

I hid the fact that I read novels through grade and high school from my friends so I wouldn't get bugged. But I have always loved to sit down and spend an entire afternoon reading a great book.

-There was a book about someone taking their snake on a fieldtrip..can anyone remember this?

I'm sure there is more I can name as I was a huge reader when I was a kid but thanks to the net I've grown lazy and never read anymore.

Getting Starchoice really increased my reading.

That sounds strange, but now if there are shows I like I can watch the eastern timezone feed and see them early. After 10pm I can read until I go to bed.

The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis was my favourite, still is really. I have read it so many times.

When I was really young, I loved those Clifford books - the big red dog. And anything by Robert Munsch. I got to meet him once at a writers camp (yes, I was very unpopular when I was young). He was what I thought he would be.

Definitely loved the Nancy Drew books and the Sweet Valley high books as well.

The Witches by Roald Dahl was one of my favourites. Then I saw the movie and for some reason, it really freaked me out.
