Gaudreau for making the playoffs. Perry for the playoffs. Hahaha.

Sign Gawdin @ $787,500
Sign Kylington @ $787,500
Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane
M. Lucic - S. Bennett - D. Dube
Z. Rinaldo - D. Ryan - Robinson
Gawdin, Phillips
Giordano - Andersson
Hanifin - Tanev
Valimaki - Kylington
Petrovic
Markstrom
Rittich
OVER the cap by $997,499
Maybe they can get Mangiapane inked for a little less and run with a 22 man roster?
Lots of time for changes still though obviously.
I would REALLY like to see some league minimum vet upgrades on Rinaldo and Robinson though. Such as:
Brett Ritchie
Lucas Wallmark
Dominik Simon
Valentin Zykov
Brian Boyle
Jayce Hawyrluk
Patrick Marleau
And then maybe one or two young guys come in and push even those guys off the roster.
|
As much as I like Ryan they really need to trade him. No more having $3 + million players on 4th line.

Actually, I've already mentioned this, but the Flames should really try to sign Josh Leivo to a one year show me deal if at all possible.

Honestly, if we don't sign any veteran wingers in free agency ever again during Tre's tenure, that's a win.

I hope if we add, it’s a good skater. Teams like Colorado and Tampa can fly. Please, no more slow players.

Maybe not, I still think his experience and demeanor alone will get the whole team engaged. This alone is more than we ever saw from Jankowski.

Like Grabner. I was hoping for him last deadline and hes still out there.
He wouldnt command more than 3 id venture.
Yes we need to figure out some salary out but hed be a decent cheaper addition.

Palmeri would be an absolute dream for me. But it would require a trade. He would be the perfect addition to the top 6. Might be something to look at @ the deadline if he doesnt extend in jersey.

I would have been excited to sign Hall, but the Gaudreau out, Hall in swap was never attractive to me anyway.
I think people are really not crediting Johnny enough around here, he's literarily carried our offence most of the past 3 years.
If the right trade isn't out there, lets keep Johnny Gaudreau and enjoy cheering for Johnny Gaudreau again.

Agreed, let's allow some younger players to progress, see what impact our improved goaltending has and go from there.

Sorry for the laziness. JG has two years left on his contract? Same as Monahan? Thanks

If the Flames go into the next season with the only real changes being in goal, and moving Bennett to centre, is that going to appease the fanbase? Will we expect big things?

Adding a guy like Perry could be helpful for these young guys. He knows how to win, he knows how to hate losing. He could help show our young core how to take the next step.
