So if Zagidullin tears up Stockton, do the Flames deal Rittich?

Because he was.
I can't gloat too much with you making reasonable posts like this...

Thought he was going to the AVS?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Probably just let him walk next summer if that's the case

Great. It would mean he ups his value right for the trade deadline.

Since the last tie Kiprusoff played the cap has increased by $11.3 m. Inflation matters.

Hopefully the NMC changes to a limited NTC somewhere in the back half of the deal.

You want to have that ability to move him if say 3 or 4 years from now one of the Flames young goalie prospects is pulling a Carter Hart.

it was an ok deal numbers wise...I'd have preferred a 5 year deal of course.

I am sure the NMC was the reason why Markstromm moved off the rumored 7year deal...

If Markstromm plays like he did the last two years, I am sure the salary will be worth it.

Like the deal or not the Flames also got the top UFA in his position...so the "nobody will play here" talk is garbage

It's a goalie signing. There's like a 50/50 chance it looks bad next year.

And then good the next. Or even worse.

Who the hell knows. Still like the signing, for the record. But I'm also super cynical at this point.

He's 9th, Crawford and Schneider shouldn't be on there anymore.

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
Markstrom (on Lindholm selling Calgary): "We didn't talk much about hockey. Usually when we're here we talk about golf and go for dinners. He didn't have to sell Calgary. You hear around the league, and playing against them in the same division for a long time." #Flames

Markstrom (cont): "For me personally you have a good idea of all the teams in the Pacific and I felt Calgary has something really good going. I couldn't be more excited and I cannot wait until hockey starts again and we get to play some games and put on a Calgary jersey." #Flames

Weren't you an ardent Jankowski advocate for a long time? I think Markstrom is going to be just fine. No indication at all of any of the same issues that plague bobrovsky.

Can't wait for him to have a split 50/50 red and white goalie mask! Like the blue and white in Vancouver
