Not worried about the 6 year term. If a couple years at the end is what it costs for getting a number 1 then I am good. Cap won't be flat at that time.

Talbot is a good human and a great backup goalie, but if they want to win he's not the guy to go with.
Great on easy ones, but if you pick a spot he literally doesn't move.

$6M seems a Tad high, but when I look at Capfriendly, its not really out of whack, considering some of the long term contracts were signed a few years ago in a lower cap.

Of course this is excruciating for us as fans but I do worry about deals falling through and relationships souring because Treliving is so plodding in getting things done. I think this is consistent with the rumours of him being in on everything without the deals getting done. I do think Markstrom will be signed but I am concerned that other opportunities are being lost while Trevliving and Markstrom's agent are squabbling over terms that are of minimal importance.
