This is a total troll post...why do you even come here?
Do you spend this much time on Vancouver Puck? Edmonton Puck?

I'd love a timeline where Markstrom goes to Edmonton. Then I can have no issues with hating him and I'd get to see him fail because nothing can save Edmonton. Nothing.

Why would you want to see your team's MVP fail? You are that callous to wish he fails if he doesn't sign with the Canucks again?

If he signs in Edmonton, he gets what he deserves.

You can always tell who has thin skin from your posts.
I find your posts are fairly light hearted and fun. It's good banter.

Demko's stats last season
3.06
.905
Both Edmonton's goalies had better numbers...whoever Calgary signs will have better numbers
GL
Vancouver losing their best player for nothing is not a good thing no matter how you spin it

News out of Vancouver is no way Markstrom wants to live in Edmonton. I know this was discussed a couple days ago but the radio host is doubling down on that opinion.

It'll be amusing when the Nucks let Markstrom go and Demko turns out to be a flash in the pan

From Scorp's UFA thread...
3. Jacob Markstrom (VAN) // Goaltender // Age 30 // 23-16-2, .918
9. Braden Holtby (WSH) // Goaltender // Age 31 // 25-14-6, .897
14. Anton Khudobin (DAL) // Goaltender // Age 34 // 16-8-4, .930
16. Cam Talbot (CGY) // Goaltender // Age 33 // 12-10-1, .919
20. Corey Crawford (CHI) // Goaltender // Age 35 // 16-20-3, .917
25. Thomas Greiss (NYI) // Goaltender // Age 34 // 16-9-4, .913
33*. Henrik Lundqvist (NYR) // Goaltender // Age 38 // 10-12-3, .905
61. Aaron Dell (SJ) // Goaltender // Age 31 // 12-15-3, .907
67. Ryan Miller (ANA) // Goaltender // Age 40 // 9-6-4, .907
73. Craig Anderson (OTT) // Goaltender // Age 39 // 11-17-2, .902
84. Jimmy Howard (DET) // Goaltender // Age 36 // 2-23-2, .882
85. Mike Smith (EDM) // Goaltender // Age 38 // 19-12-6, .902
85*. Cory Schneider (NJ) // Goaltender // Age 34 // 3-6-2, .887
Markstrom is the best goalie on that list, and the youngest, and seems willing to come to Calgary without us having to overpay to make it happen (i.e. we can get him for market, instead of over market, like most UFAs)

Plus you don't have to give up an asset like a draft pick or prospect to get him.
The Flames also have no one in the pipeline looking like they're ready to take over as an NHL starter any time soon, so a multi year deal for the top UFA goalie makes a boat load of sense.

People will always balk at it though. Back when Bishop was a UFA I wanted the Flames to sign him so badly, most posters here though didn't want nothing to do with him because he was almost 30 and was "over rated".
He's put up the 2nd best save % and GAA in the league since he went to Dallas though, while the Flames continue to cycle through bargain bin.
