The Oilers haven't officially deferred their 3rd yet. It is expected they will but they have until the first pick of the 3rd round to do so.

They probably think he's 7 feet tall and shoots lightning bolts out his arse.

to NSH: Kunin+101
to MIN: Bonino+37+70

Since Wallinder is gone, I'd like to see Calgary take a swing on this other sleeper Swedish prospect, Anton Johannesson somewhere in this draft.

Quote:
Anton Johannesson, D, HV71 (Swe.): A mobile defenseman with a great offensive side, Johannesson put up more than a point per game from the blueline for HV71's under-20 squad this past season, though he was limited to 20 games due to health problems (he also played five games for HV71's under-18 team, for the record). That worries scouts, as does his 5-foot-9, 154-pound frame. If an NHL team believes Johannesson can stay healthy and get stronger, he has the talent to contribute - but scouts might also caution their GMs to wait until next year's draft, just to make sure he is progressing.

Today's game has obviously made the smaller, skilled guy more of an option but a defenseman at that size, even if he projects 10% bigger, needs to be exceptional

Really want to see the Flames trade up here, there's some high ceiling kids here that are going to go 34-40

Doug Wilson appreciated the way Calgary handled their pick yesterday. Ends up doing the same thing.

Will be interesting to see how far Poirier falls. He is a total home run swing.

Drafting all the euros after a Canada heavy first round

I like that move by the Sabres to move up for Peterka
