I like the moves.

I have no opinion on Zary. Obviously he was there for the other teams to pick and they passed and obviously NYR and WAS cared enough for their picks to trade up.

On paper, I like that they did this and fully expect some of these thirds to be on the move in player deals.

It all boils down to whether Zary is a good pick. Here's hoping.

For 68 he doesn't look bad at all, he's starting to age more quickly now is all. Or so I hope.

For sure, I think it was a good pick. Like the experts say, crapshoot where the Flames were picking anyways, may as well recoup two thirds in the process. They did well.

It seems like he was ranked about 12th on average by the ppl I follow. Pronman 10th, HockeyProspecting 11th, LoweTide 12th, Wheeler 13th. I think the Flames should be thrilled to have gotten him at 24.
