This feels like a really really really poor return for Montreal.
I really love Anderson, but I figured he would be 2nd-3rd rounder to acquire, not a young centre who has already put up 70 points in a season.

How in the hell does Josh Anderson still have that kind of value?

Unreal.

On my phone this came up as "Anderson to the Habs for Max Domi" and I thought at first that someone spelt Rasmus' name wrong.

I can’t understand this from a MTL perspective.

Guaranteed Habs are going to be big into Hall.

Thinking that Domi's contract demands were high, and Anderson's were low.

This is terrible for Montreal...wow.

Domi's career worst season is a 82 game pace of 45 points, Anderson's career high is 47 points.

Domi is one year younger and plays with just as big of an edge too, also hasn't had the injury issues that Anderson has.

Why is Montreal the one adding a third?

Montreal decided to trade Domi after he underperformed and had a 40-point year.

So they added a 3rd to get... a guy who scored one goal last year

Great bit of business by CBJ. Anderson was rumoured to be out for some time, and being able to get a 50/60 point guy, who is only 25 years old in the form of Domi (Almost PPG as well last year)

Based on the results of this trade, either we would have given up too much or gotten too little.

Obviously Montreal is really high on Anderson. I don't understand this move at all though. Not only did they get the best player in the deal they got a pick added as well.

Josh Anderson was dealing with injuries all year last season. Obviously the hope is he returns to his 30-47 point form from the years before.

I think Domi is getting overrated a lot here though. As someone pointed out recently, for a supposedly rough and tumble guy himself, Domi had half as many hits (32) as Sean Monahan (65) last season.

Now I think we're all going to be shocked when they announce Anderson's contract, because I bet they go term and I bet they sink $5M(+) AAV into him.
