Diego did beat Nadal in Rome. But Nadal at RG is Thanos-level. If Nadal match is tomorrow then perhaps it favors Diego a bit.

Don't tell Nadal_Fan, but I'm hoping for a Sinner upset.

I'd like Sinner to win even 10 games.

The good thing is if Nadal plays tomorrow his semi final match isn't until Friday so he still gets a day off.
Sinner will be a tough opponent and same with Diego. I was cheering for Thiem because if he wins that marathon he limps into the semi. Diego is going to be tough to beat.

90% chance Rafa takes it, I just want Sinner to show what he's capable of, and not be like Korda who was too busy being excited for post-match autographs from his hero to think about the actual match.

Well, match is a go.
I wonder if Sinner will keep pounding his forehand. Nadal probably can't generate as much pop on his ground strokes, so it shouldn't be as tough to negotiate.
Btw, that shoe and sock combo of Nadal sucks. Total Dad-vibes.

I agree - The entire kit combined with the racquet paint job makes him look like this:

Didn't Nadal have different shoes earlier in the tournament? It was light blue and it worked. This... Not so much.

Sinner is hanging in there, doesn't look overwhelmed at all thus far.

Sinner with the break. But Rafa usually takes being broken personally. Let's see if he can serve for the set.

This is good practice for Nadal. Sinner has a similar game to Djokovic, perhaps not as refined. But Djokovic is going to chase Nadal's forehand and if Nadal doesn't have confidence in his fhdtl, it will be just that much tougher for Nadal.

Nothing but respect for Sinner, kid played his heart out and gave Nadal at RG a good test.
This was Nadals 125th best of 5 match on clay. His record.... 123-2........

She's had a fine tourney and now gets to play a qualifier for a spot in the championship final against either Kenin or Kvitova (Go Petra!)
