Black C, Blasty shoulder patches, pre-Reebok striping would be a beautiful 3rd

If they could return to the chevron stripes of the 2004 jerseys and replace the flags with the horse head, I'd like them keeping that as an alternate a lot more.

Yup basically an up to date 2004 jersey, eliminating the flags and vertical stripes up the side? Perfect.

Throw in a black Blasty for 90s nights and it's a great set.

shame to see the old jersey kept at all, ... agreed.

But if you're going to nuke one jersey altogether and you can only pick one, it's definitely the white one. God I hated that jersey.

Keeping the flag jersey around is such a Flames thing to do.

But at least we can be happy we finally have what we've wanted for the last 15 years or so.

Yeah, when you strategically position the middle one like that.

I wouldn’t mind that jersey if it had the shoulder patches from the handwritten crest jersey.

Meh. I'm ok with giving the flag jersey one last lap. At least the primaries are what they should be. I think this arrangement sets the table nicely for more cool things in the future.

Love the black C uni. Its sharp but it could use blasty on the shoulders and change back to 04 stripes.

I also think they should wear the blasty jersey a couple games a year for the sake of how good they were.

The Flames have finally fixed the one thing that was holding them back from winning the Cup ... They got rid of the string on the front of their primary jerseys.

Since the purely-decorative strings began re-appearing on jerseys in the late 90s, the 2011 Bruins are the only team to win the Cup with strings on their jerseys.

So, for the jersey detail experts, is it just the collar that is different from the 89 set? Is the red deeper?

In case anyone was wondering, Stockton is not changing their color scheme yet

PATRICK WILLIAMS @pwilliamsNHL
I am told that there are no plans for the Stockton Heat to make any logo/jersey changes at this time.

Good move, actually. Makes the players try all that much harder to make the NHL so they can wear the good uniforms!

But yes, for the first time in 25 years, no black on jerseys that never should've had black, and only had black due to lazy marketing and branding by those in charge in 1995.
Black is okay and works in certain cases, but it's the logo that should've never been black.

God I can't wait to see those roads used on the regular.

Years of a bland, piping abomination away from home.

There is no Piping on the Flames red jersey with black C. IT was removed with Adidas. I assume you are talking about the vertical stripes?
