Columbus scares me with rumors of Andersen and their goalies I am not into that at all. Andersen sure if the cost is Janko+3rd but I am worried the talks were centered around some higher profile players like Gaudreau/Monahan

The Sharks remind me of the Flames circa 2012.

Going into this off-season, the Flames are starting to remind of the 2012 Flames. Playoff bubble team, unable to address team needs. Hopefully they curb that with a strong week of execution from the management team.

I think its unlikely Buffalo gives up either Cozens (since they acquired Staal) or Reinhart (considering they're looking to add to their top 6 scoring and not subtract from it).
Unless they think they can get Monahan by trading Cozens and the first and have Staal play third line for supreme depth.
Eichel
Monahan
Staal
..
Down the middle would be deadly and might actually turn them into the winner Eichel desires. Times running out Buffalo, gotta win for your boy!

So Treliving might try to pull a Paul Holmgren 2011 blockbuster

How do they get Monahan without trading their first or Cozens without the Flames getting hosed.

Weird wording on my part, I meant acquiring Monahan by trading Cozens + 1st.

I just don't get this place. Trading a first for a proven Vezina caliber goalie is crapped upon, but willing to give up a 2nd for Josh Anderson? And before someone says anything, it is many of the same people.

I'm more or less game for Kuemper for a 1st, and Anderson for a 2nd. I'd just want both of those picks to be in 2021, not 2020.

Savard is a better skater and puck mover than Hamonic. Bigger too.
He would immediately become the third best d-man on the Flames.

For me I’m an Anderson fan. Can’t say I’m in love with Kuemper. Also with the amount of goalies available I don’t think you need to spend a first to get a goalie. Try finding a big guy with jam that can skate and get some goals. They are not ready available.

Merzlikins, Savard rights to anderson - Ryan, rights to Jankowski and a 3rd round pick

Even if those picks are 2020, neither is likely to help, if at all, the Flames for 2-4 years. If I’m betting, I think Treliving will part with those picks pretty quick if he gets the return he wants.
Keumper for sure, and yes to Anderson. But he’s going to cost more than a 2nd. If Columbus is going to move him, certainly another team will give up more than a 2nd. I would be intrigued to see what he can do on the top line here, he certainly played well with Panarin.

Well, in Anderson's case he gets you one goal. That's more than none, I guess.

I don't think CBJ would trade their future 1G for a 4C, rights to an AHLer let alone adding Savard and Anderson.

I am not convinced Merzlikins in a number one. I doubt he has huge trade value.

I think he is the closest thing they have to a number 1 right now and aren't going to prematurely trade him until they find out.

Columbus has a stacked G system. I bet one of Merzlikins or Korpisalo is moved, both appear to have 1G upside.
