I think a lot of people here will be surprised at what OEL can do when a new motivation and in a different market with a team that can finally score.

This should always be the rule. It's not that hard to include a link or just say So and so said this

That’s a lofty expectation of a Canucks fan.

Lindholm/Hanifin: Homerun

Lucic: Passed ball on the strikeout, so we got on base.

I like baseball an analogy because it has varying degrees of success and failure.
I'd say Smith and Elliott are both outs because of their acquisition costs. But you're right, Treliving does seem to make better moves in the offseason.
Forbert, Fantenberg, Gustafsson, Bollig, Lazar, and Michael Stone were all acquired during the season if I am correct.

But I liked the Kris Russell trade that brought in Dube's pick. Hudler trade was also pretty good.
But credit to Feaster for acquiring Russell and Hudler for practically nothing.

I think something crazy is coming...

Like we draft our pick....sign Hall...and add a reasonable goalie and solid top 6 right D.

Then miraculously win the cup... lol

They both helped us get to the playoffs, when the picks traded would have had a sub 50% of ever making the NHL, let alone getting us to the playoffs. People really blow the value of the picks traded in these trades way out of proportion.

I don't know about Calgary, but I could definitely see Tampa moving him. They proved that he's a luxury this year, and he's not getting any younger or less injury-prone.

People also aren’t nearly critical enough of the goalies that the Flames have had in the last decade either.

They’ve been piss poor, and we’ve pissed assets away on them - hence the frustration. The only way they’ve helped us is that they’ve worn goalie pads and stood/fallen forward while in the general area of the crease. Every year they’ve been horrid/below average goalies.

Whoah there, cowboy! Before we process the process, we need to process the process that processes the paperwork for approval that allows the process to process the process.

We should have known, Treliving is actually from planet Vogon and is in fact, a Vogon himself.

Resistance is useless.

A deal like the Russell acquisition is exactly what this club could use right now, trade a 5th round pick for a serviceable defenseman on a good contract.

I am super curious to know if we ever see the duo of monahan/gaudreau on the flames again.

That's the MOST intriguing thing I'm watching this offseason.
