Cali your heart is grand and I love you for it my friend; I can only imagine what it would be like for someone with that mindset to be living in America right now and my heart goes out to the many, many great and diverse people that have MADE America great for so long. I can appreciate that stance too and to a degree I’m with you in that I’m not hoping or gleeful that Trump could potentially die from this... if anything it makes me nervous because there really is no telling how or what his base will react/do if he does indeed pass away. Add to that this is the most contested election in forever with all sorts of crazy real drama that could have untold effects on so many people with the greatest country in the world literally hanging in the balance... if Trump dies during all this I can’t imagine what will happen and I can’t imagine it will be good which is completely sobering.
With that said I do think Trump is beyond just a monster and though he’s not at a ‘Hitler’ level he is closer to that end of the spectrum... from Putin and his meeting in Helsinki... the handling of the Supreme Court picks... cutting of Obamacare with no plan or replacement... all the woman problems and accusations... Jeffery Epstein affiliations... and on and on... then the fact that he did know FULL WELL the severity of this virus at the onset and the worrisome fact that he kept it from the people he was sworn to protect when he took the oath of office. Add to that how much him, his family and his swamp have continued to down play the virus while throwing disgusting claims towards democratic advisories and cities literally trying to stoke the fires of division in America and I sit here as a Canadian watching the #### show that has become America with a broken heart and I can’t help but see the insane irony that Trump and his wife are Covid positive right now.
I won’t take glee if Donald dies from this but I certainly won’t shed a tear for him especially when he hasn’t shed a tear for the 200+ thousand people who have died on his watch and the millions more who are without a loved one or loved ones because of this mess he hadn’t taken seriously even as soon as the debate this last Tuesday some 9 months later.
I love you Cali and the great country that is America and I’m thinking only the most positive thoughts I can because it’s not fun to see America fall apart like it has been but it heartens me to read posts like yours and realize that there is still so much good and humanity left in this place we call home (earth) big hugs man; let’s get through this together!

Trump dying of covid is possibly the single best possible outcome for the stability of the US. It is maybe the best chance the country has of avoiding chaos. I don't see what paths there are towards a peaceful transition without Trump being taken out of the running by natural causes. It's the only way he'll be gone without there being someone to blame or be resentful of.

Nah, Denthor might have been a wank rag but he at least started noble and had the best intentions for Gondor before losing heart, Sauron is way to smart to be Trump, if you are going LOTR then Trump is Lotho Sackville-Baggins, a dumb pawn of the truly grim

Okay, then don't. And pat yourself on the back for being a nice guy all you want, but you lost me at calling those of us enjoying this karmic justice 'evil of heart.' Sorry, can't get over it. Just such a ridiculous thing to say. Props for not walking it back, too. I love it.
Mods, whose back do I have to scratch around here to get my user title changed to 'evil of heart'? It's my favourite burn ever.

Would be a cautionary tale for all time. We still talk about foolhardy Roman emperors that lived 2,000 years ago.

If this moron had worn a mask and promoted mask wearing six months ago, fewer would have died. He was mocking Biden for wearing a mask literally this week. Within an hour of him going to the hospital the White House mandated masks. Like, that's hilarious.
Trump is a racist, a sexist and a bigot. He encourages white supremacists and villifies immigrants. He's a mean, spiteful, awful person.
I'm pleased he is now sick and out of commission temporarily in the most just-desserts way imaginable.
But I'm evil of heart and uncivil. Gtfo.

And this is exactly why we are where we are.
People cheering on death for people they hate.
Then someone steps in and says time out. Lets not wish death on those we hate.
Its not me though, its umm umm can’t remember. The guy with a beard, the guy who died and came back.
Ahh whatever, not important anymore I see.

It looks like the Supreme Court announcement ceremony last week was the super-spreader (or should that be Supreme-spreader?) event.
https://twitter.com/user/status/1312217064120020992
There would be a certain poetic justice if the Senate was unable to confirm her because too many Republican senators got sick at this event and they couldn't get a majority vote.

This leaves the follow as battleground states. Data normally comes from Real Clear Politics, but they have not updated their polling data in a week, so we're taking data from 270toWin and using averages (trend indicates riser) and only states that have post-debate data.

Electoral College Projection

North Carolina - Cunningham (D) vs Tillis (R)* - Cunninghan +6.0 (trend Cunningham +0.8)

^That last one between Harrison and Graham makes me so happy, but I'm also concerned about voter suppression on the day of the election that will tip the balance in favor of Graham.

I dont hate any of them, I fear them, I fear that we are in exactly the same situation Austria was in 1933 watching Germany go insane.
Given that we celebrate the 250,000 brave good Americans that died in order to put that Genie back in the bottle I am more than happy to see one stupid boorish selfish prick die in order that we dont have to lose half a million or so trying to save democracy

That a twitter pirate can be compared and agreed is pathetic.
