I'm still mad. If you know Ryu is hurt then you have to ride Shoemaker as long as you can to win game one or sacrifice Ryu in game one.

Looks like the Reds are going to not score a run in either game they played this week.

Not sure that makes sense. I mean maybe the first but if Ryu was hurt why would you sacrifice him in game 1? That doesn’t make sense. Anyway Ryus velocity has been up and down recently but he still was getting the job done. He clearly was having some issues with the repeated extra days off but it was likely more soreness/fatigue rather than injury.

I would swap Biggio and Bichette, Bichette doesn't have a strong enough arm for 3B.

Also if we get Springer Grichuk would be the 4th OFer and we can say goodbye to Fisher.

Listening to one of the baseball broadcasts yesterday and they were talking about the Indians struggling to sign Lindor and mentioned he could be on the move. If true, I’d love for the Jays to take a run at him(cost would likely be huge though). An infield of Biggio-Lindor-Bichette-Vladdy would be the best in baseball and hella fun to watch. One can dream.

Lindor would be amazing because not only is he the total package but he's also just turning 27.

1. Switch hitter
2. Has power
3. Can get on base
4. Stud defensively
5. Can steal bases

I'd be scared of what goes the other way though if they trade for him, but I doubt it would be any pitching prospects. Cleveland seems to do just fine with that on their own. Would probably have to send Moreno and/or one of Martinez or Groshans maybe?

Why would you trade a lot of prospects for a player who is a FA in one year? Maybe if this was NBA where you do a sign and trade. Or something like the Stone trade to Vegas. But if that deal is not worked out before the trade there is no way you do that deal.

I actually think that if they were to sign Springer they'd probably look to see what they could get for Grichuk in a trade.

Apparently Atkins stated that they still haven't closed the door on Vlad playing some 3B going forward. Maybe a dangling carrot to try and get him to commit to better fitness this off season. Probably a product of having both he and Tellez on the roster too though, plus Kirk looking ready as well. They have a lot of heavy, slower DH type guys and while Kirk is a catcher, so is Jansen and right now Jansen is a better catcher and Kirk looks like a bat you want to keep in the line up more often than not.

They have a lot of really good pieces, but they don't really seem to fit together properly just yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see a pretty big trade or two this off season to be honest.

IMO Shapiro/Atkins would never trade high end prospects for Lindor without being 100% confident they could and would get him extended long term first. Similar to how the Dodgers traded for one year of Betts but then immediately extended him.

Pretty interesting to hear Atkins confirm they could look to acquire a game changing player. I’m not complaining at that but personally I’d hope it would be next year. I wonder who he has in mind. Could be a signing or a deal. Pitching likely. Is there any chance LA could deal Kershaw?

Why would they ... he’s the face of their franchise and had a great bounce back year and just pitched one of the best game in LA playoff history

The Dodgers are the last team to trade their stars for picks

Maybe Strasburg if the Nationals don’t think he will resign after next year

I don't know. Just throwing the first super impact player I could think of.

Top Korean player Ha-Seong Kim to be posted.

24 years old, 3B and SS.

REPORT: Top Korean Infielder Ha-Seong Kim to Be Posted

I expect the Jays will be all over this guy, as will many teams.

Hopefully Ryu can be an "ace" up their sleeve (pun intended) in recruiting him, being a star Korean player and all.

The guy walked more than he struck out this past season, gets on base a ton, hits for power and is also a strong defender.

Perfect age for the core of this team too.

Go get him Shatkins!

Mostly SS. Another Biggio type. Bat not good enough to be 3B. Not as good as Jang Ho Gang was. Just that Jung liked girls and booze.

I wonder if Corey Kluber has a bounce back season in him?

The guy won the CY just 3 years ago, and he's only 34. Plus his injuries the last two seasons haven't been the type of injuries that would likely degrade a pitchers ability to be effective like chronic arm issues.

Shapiro was running the show in Cleveland when they brought in both Kluber and Bauer. Hopefully he has a good relationship with them still.

I just can't want Bauer... yes, he's very talented, yes he's the best pitcher on the market... but he's such a complete and utter unrepentant asshat. I would feel physically ill rooting for him. I would like Walker back and the Korean guy mentioned above.
