This is one of the things I find endearing about Biden. I don't think him and Harris are going to solve America's issues if they get in, and I wish there were a more dynamic and inspiring leader for the party in such a crucial time with so much on the line, but Biden has traits that humanize him. Features like his having to deal with a stammer make me empathize with him and add to the feeling of him being a decent and relatable person.

I know it's easy to Monday morning quarterback these things but that exchange from last night where Trump questions Biden's education and basically calls him dumb got me riled up a bit.
I wanted Joe to say "'Excuse me? You had your sister, the judge, write your papers at business school. You paid someone to write your SATs. Your sister is on tape admitting it. Do you deny it, you moron?
I wanted Biden to say, “Well I recently thought about applying to Trump University, but when I went to the website it was offline for some reason.”

A bit of a detour first. Income is income. No differentiation between investment income and income from a salary. Everybody gets taxed the same regardless of where the money came from.
On commercial real estate, again, the same rules should apply to real estate. I should be able to have access to the same loopholes for my real estate holding, or there should be no loopholes at all. Even the playing field. That should be the mandate for all tax programs. A billionaire should not have access to different rules.

Yes. They pay for those who make the rules. Until money is removed from politics all laws will be spun to benefit the rich over the poor.

Does it matter? When you have 30-40% of voters under the age of 45 voting in America, it is a huge issue and a big reason why you have guys like Trump and yes, even Joe Biden in office.
There are very few countries that routinely see parties that continue to run 65+ year old candidates because they are simply out of touch and lack any relatability. Most G20 countries are moving to younger, more inspiring leadership as is evidenced by the nearly 55 year old leadership age average of these nations.
When the dust settles, a younger candidate may not be superior to an older one, but at least there's a better chance they will appeal to the younger voters and avoid scenarios where you have two duds going at it like they were last night over the leadership of one of the most influential countries in the world.
If younger voters actually voted in larger numbers they might run a different candidate. They ran the guy who polled best vs. Trump. /

Bringing families into the mix has traditionally been verboten in American politics. When the Republicans attacked Billy Carter it was thought of in very poor taste. Same when Republicans attacked Chelsea Clinton. Same when they sniffed around the Obama children. You don't get to choose your family, so they have usually been thought of as a sacred cow, so to speak. For Biden it would have opened the door for Trump to attack Hunter, which Trump did and Joe shut down quickly.

I have zero issues with Biden calling Trump a clown, telling him to shut up etc. Normally I would have an issue with that in a debate but when a bully who only wants to lie, interrupt and avoid doing anything resembling debate harsh language is called for. Sometimes you have to yell at the kids...

Biden won the most delegates thanks to nearly 2/3rds of primary voters being over the age of 45 (many far older). It's not a flawless system as we all know and one that needs to change.
Watching that debate performance should make everyone concerned that no matter what way it goes, the USA will be lead by a doddering old man. One a complete lunatic and the other who appears to be one of the most flaccid candidates in recent memory (Flaccid: lacking force or effectiveness).
Doddering old man? Biden has issues with stuttering, thats pretty sad you would knock him for that. Im proud he has overcome those issues, hard to be in politics with a stutter problem. He has a foundation helping others with stutter problems. Doddering old man grow up.

PBS recently uploaded a 1960 debate between Nixon and Kennedy and the difference in tact, candor, substance, and overall sincerety of that debate to the one last night is mind boggling.
Correspondets are able to ask their questions, candidates answering them succinctly and clearly and no ad hominems. It can't just be that both candidates were 30 years younger.
WTF happened to that country?
The drama of reality tv and America's addiction to it.
