I think the main group of undecideds are people who view themselves as republicans, but don’t know if they can stomach Trump. I think it’s that ‘Lincoln Project’ type of voter that could be swayed between holding their nose and voting for Trump, holding their nose and voting for Biden, or just staying at home. 2 of those would would be would be good for Biden.
If it were me, I would just re-enact the most egregious parts in an over the top, exaggerated way, while constantly flashing "THIS REALLY HAPPENED" over the bottom half of the screen.
Kind of like the Scientology episode of South Park?

Wow...watched the whole thing lastnight and felt bad for Biden. He’s not a great candidate by any stretch but at least he was TRYING to put some policy forward. I don’t know how the hell you can debate Trump, he just yells and interrupts constantly, how can you keep your train of thought with that idiot blabbing non stop? Did Wallace not have the ability to cut off Trump’s mic? Unbelievable.

But this is the thing, they are not undecided. At this point if they are still considering Trump it means they are going to vote for him and are simply trying to rationalize a position that is not rational. But they are voting for Trump, make no mistake, and are not undecided at all. They're just embarrassed they have to vote for such a disgraceful person.

I can't believe that a debate about the most important job in the world can be allowed to become a spectacle to get views. The media and social media companies should bear some responsibility here. They've been lapping up this stupidity for the last 4 years as well because it generates click bait and great headlines.
Fake news and sheer stupidity travels 6x faster on social media.
This is a lot worse than I think we realized. I'm not sure how the US moves out of this election campaign cycle. It is tearing their country apart.

The stark comparative of having Trump being, well, Trump beside Biden making human remarks (eg. being proud of his son for overcoming addiction) should resonate even with the most jaded leftists.
When is the last time Trump acted empathetically? Is it even possible for him?

If you think there are no undecided voters, you clearly haven't worked an election.
You'd be surprised at the amount of people that don't know whats going on in the world. If you knocked doors for either campaign you'll get folks that (a) didn't know there's an election; and/or (b) don't even know who is running.

Trump or the entire GOP. When was the last time you heard something inspirational or aspirational from a Republican? Without grievance and fear what's left in the GOP playbook? Nothing.

Trump is doing the same thing he did in 2016, and Biden is doing worse than Hillary did.
What will make the voter that voted for Trump in 2016 vote for Biden this time around?
He only needs to convince the same electorate that he already managed to convince once to vote for him again. All those people were completely okay with how he acted in 2016. In fact I think he was worse in 2016. Biden is just a terrible candidate and it makes what Trump is doing now looks worse, but he definitely attacked Hillary a lot more.
I think people are underestimating the seriousness here and are too easily playing it off as 'Biden has it locked up.'

I truly believe that Clinton was a stronger candidate than Biden for a variety of reasons, but let's not underestimate the impact of people being unwilling to vote in a woman for President.
I'm not sure how large of an impact that will play in the results but it's not insignificant.

I definitely think Hilary was a stronger candidate, in isolation, but her campaign sucked and she had no answer for trump. That amd they were overconfident.
At least this time Biden’s campaign knows how to handle it better. That and the last 4 years happened.

That doesn't change here, Biden is 78 and Kamala is VP.

Even more than this, she had been made Satan by right wing media for 30 years. Biden's overall net approval numbers are still positive or neutral. The only reason Hillary wasn't the most disliked Presidential candidate in history is because Trump was. Biden is winning white voters back Hillary lost, a crucial factor in the three states Biden has to win.

You're assuming the same people who voted in Trump have enough foresight to realize a woman VP could replace the ageing future President if he dies during his term?
Bold.

Because in 2016 they voted for Trump because he was a novelty candidate, they went for him for a laugh, because they thought 'what's the worst that could happen?' and its been a complete **** show ever since
