We’re not missing the playoffs. Maybe we get worse seeding but I’m not that concerned with that. Anyway Walker shouldn’t have given up two bombs and Shun shouldn’t have sucked some much. I’m sure someone will be optioned after the game and another pitcher come up. Hopefully we can get a couple more innings out of Yamaguchi and maybe they can throw in Fisher to pitch.

You should be concerned, this is the kind of crap that leads to tailspins. If we get swept by the Yanks and split the double header, and the Mariners win a few games, out lead over them will be down to something like 2 games.

They lost 18-1 on Friday and yet won the series. I’m sure the Jays will lose this series but I knew that going in. Our ace wasn’t pitching and their three best pitchers were. If we get swept I think they just recollect and move on.
If we go into a tailspin it’s because our starting pitchers are trash not because of morale issues from a bad loss.

I wasn't talking about morale, I was talking about a depleted bullpen the first day after our final off day.

It's at the point where you kinda feel bad for Fischer. He does not look like a major leaguer tonight at all. Really struggling.

PvR'd this game and looked forward to watching it. And then Fisher happened. Why the flying #### was he starting in the biggest game of the season so far. What the #### is with managements hard on for this guy? I have never seen a big league whiff on so many fly balls. He literally might be the worst ball player I've ever seen. Good thing Cole and Tanaka are pitching the next two...

Our starters almost never go more than 5ip anyway. We’ve had two days off recently. Is 3.2 IP really going to make or break the bullpen? They’ll option someone and call up SRF tomorrow I expect.

Its games like this where the Jays really miss Jim Acker.
Down big after 2 innings? It's Acker time! He'd go out there and get you 5 innings. Sure he'd give up another dozen runs, but that's beside the point.
Acker time!

The Jay's are 2-2 in their last 4 while being outscored 42-14. That's something.

Just throwing #### at the wall here; but Walker only threw 43 pitches tonight, he is ultra competitive and you'd think he wouldn't need full rest, but he could be able to go Saturday on short rest as a result? This would line him back up to go the day after Ryu and would set up the next Yankees series to have Ryu/Walker in games 3-4 and games 1-2 in the playoffs.

Have either of those guys looked good at all against the Yankees this season?
Feels like the Yankees have hit both guys hard this year.

I don't think that matters much for this, because you want the ball in the hands of your best pitchers when it is most important.
