It's really great that they were 11 seconds away from a 3-1 series lead but also they lost that game being outshot 62-40 and then with the season on the line up 3-0 they set a playoff record of futility allowing SEVEN unanswered goals.

Talbot was maybe the best goalie of round one.

Sometimes luck makes a game or series look a lot closer than it was.

They allowed 7 goals on 24 shots and 7 high danger chances lol

Goal tending cost them the biggest game of the season

In that game 4 when they lost it late, they were leading in shots before getting 5 straight penalties from late in the 2nd carried over to mid way through the 3rd.

No, just that the game was a lot closer than you let on.

If you stop counting score in game 6 after the first period the score was a lot closer too.

I think it is well established that game 6 was a tire fire.

Funny how things change during the playoffs when your team is eliminated. If you had told me in March it'd be DAL and VGK in the western final I would have been sure I'd cheer for Dallas given how much I dislike Vegas. Watching this series I am hoping VGK makes a comeback- some players on DAL are just too unlikable. Not that it matters- looking like Bolts/Starts in the final. Barf.

I have been somewhat surprised by the very good skill level of Oleksiak, throughout the whole playoffs.
He is a stud.

It is do or die for the Knights. I think it will be a 2-1 Stars victory in overtime with stellar goaltending by Khudobin again.

So have I.

He's looked both surprisingly quick and surprisingly agile.

That OT winner he scored against the Flames was a very high skill play.

Yes he and Klingberg have always been Dallas' big defenceman, but haven't noticed them this much in previous years. One of those years where most of the team has managed to put it together- gritty defensive performances and heavy hockey.

I realize that I'm getting ahead of myself here, but how long can Khudobin keep Dallas in games against a team like Tampa? I think it's clear that Dallas is a very good defensive team, and don't deserve to be written off easily; however, I just can't see their defensive structure being enough to challenge Tampa, and I think Khudobin is going to get worn down quickly.

It’s a rout either way.

Can Tampa survive physically against Dallas? They seem to be made of glass as it is

Those types of scrappy, net-front goals are what Vegas has been missing. Dallas is really good at getting those goals. It's so valuable in the playoffs.

That's such a Dallas goal; score off a scrum in front of the net after one of your players interfered/cross-checked a defender to create the opening.
