Shaw swings like he is a right handed batter trying to switch hit for the first time.
Espinal is such a good bench player for this team. Big hit.

Wow. That line drive by Biggio looked like it was going to be a routine out, but then it just kept on keeping on.

Espinal's energy is absolutely infectious too, you can see how much the guys love him.
And the Mets are trying to find Nimmo, because he was lost on that one.

Vladdy with 3 groundballs and a walk today. If they didn't need him in the lineup everyday, I would say they should give him a week off and just work on his swing.

Nice inning. Needed some breathing room. Hopefully for once they don't give up a bunch more runs and maybe we can avoid a high leverage nail biter for once.

I don’t think you want to change a players swing mid season. Has a chance of backfiring even worse. That being said he needs to figure out how to hit the ball in the air.
Ryu I think will be for us like when Marcum is at his best. Lots of good outings but will occasionally have a stinker when the stuff doesn’t work.

Hatch was a sweet find by the front office.
Going to be interesting to see how he does when they stretch him out.

As a Flames/Jays fan, I really feel lucky about the commentary teams we get.

I can't speak to all of the commentary teams in baseball, but for the ones that I HAVE heard, the jays telecast is easily the best.

Them discussing Roberto Alomar...
IMO, he is the best Bluejay of all time. The one strike against him in that regard would be that he was only a Jay for 5 years. But man, for those 5 years, he was insanely good - probably the best infielder I have ever watched.

Well, Dan was the voice of Baseball on ESPN and only stepped down because he wanted to come home (to Toronto) and spend more time with his family and Buck was (is?) one of the commentary guys for the MLB Network on their international feeds. So we really have 2 (inter)national caliber broadcasters and are pretty lucky with their ties to Toronto.
Oh my god what a catch by Villar!!! Holy crap.

He's had a pretty good series. 2 hits and 2 SBs last night. A hit and a walk tonight, along with using his speed to clear the bases on Espinal's double, and then of course that beautiful catch.

He also threw a ball to first that missed Guerrero by 20 feet. And he completely misplayed a grounder that he over-dove for. And that's just today.
WAY too many mental mistakes to this point. But I will concede that today has been his best game as a Jay so far.

I'm not claiming he's been mistake free, just took exception to your comment about "actually doing something useful", when he's been quite useful these past two days. This is what I expected us to get when we acquired him.
