I wouldn't mind Virtanen on a cheap show me deal to play on the 4th line.
I know people are saying he's a dick, but I've heard the same things about guys like Versteeg too. Someone being a dick to the average Joe, doesn't mean they are a dick to teammates.

Ah. It's not really a "Wish" list. It's likely going to happen.
It's been reported by the Canucks themselves that they expect to find a market for Sutter.
Ferland can't go four consecutive periods without needing to miss extended time.
Eriksson will cost assets, but he won't be wearing a Canucks jersey next season. Even if that means he's in Utica post Bonus.
Virtanen is done as a Canuck. Every interview or insider seems to be all but directly saying it.
If I wanted to be wishful, it would include the buy out for Beagle, Roussell and Ferland being healthy.

Hard no. Hanafin is a lemon. I remember there was talk about us trading the pick that become Quinn Hughes for him and I was mortified.

So you are saying there is already interest there. This sounds like a great idea.

So what is the deal with Virtanen? Wasn't he on pace to score 20 this season? Is it a character thing? Cap issue? I don't get it.

Eriksson for Matheson seems mutually beneficial, and would be another link between the two teams who still have Luongo counting against their cap.

He is an RFA with arbitration rights, and he was on a pro-rated +20-goals pace and scoring at +0.5 pts/gp. I suspect that the Canucks see him as an expendable asset that they cannot afford to pay.

While also being junk on the ice in pretty much all three zones.
Kid pops 20 and Canucks management seemingly wants nothing to do with him going forward - that tells you something.
Kid is a good shooter, but not much else there.

No, that was a gross overstatement. He was probably the fastest and highly energetic player on the icer all the times O went to watch their training camp. I have pals who are nucks friends and it was a fun time watching their training camp.

Every training camp since he was drafted. Including the Bubble camp.

Yeah, that's why he lost board battle after board battle and couldn't keep up with those around him. To the point he literally boarded a teammate in the scrimmage and loudly got called out by Bo Horvat about not being prepared to play.
Edit - I am a Virts supporter. I am going to be sad to see him go, but has has never come to camp ready to go. Not once in 6 years.

NHL Rumors Daily is gaining a bit of traction recently. Spittin' Chicklets have talked about them recently as well.
...if we start hearing Lebrun mention Calgary and Arizona, well - welcome to Calgary Darcy (...and maybe Oliver, and maybe Taylor)
NHL Rumors Daily also mentioned in a response he's heard Kuemper and Calgary from his own sources outside of Friedman.

Virtanen’s got size, speed and a good shot from the RHS. His big weakness was supposedly hockey IQ, but as a 3rd line winger who can slot up if necessary he’d be OK IMO.

Alright CP, welcome to the new third line
Virtanen - Bennett - Simmonds
I don't think I'd be able to follow along in another game thread for the season.

Makes sense. This would be a very Calgary Flames thing to do.
Two rubbish players on their way out of the league. May as well staple them on Bennett's wing - he'll fix them!
