Remind me which of those games Calgary vastly outplayed Dallas but just didn't quite win.
Yeah. None of 'em.
That 12 seconds was more indicative of the team than you'd like to admit. Can they hold on for 12 seconds when the game is on the line?
No.

True. But not being able to hold on the final 12 seconds against a team that looks to be marching all the way to the Stanley Cup (defeating favourites Colorado and Vegas to get there) makes it a lot easier to handle. If Colorado had just sunk them easily, I would've been sick.

That was a surprisingly boring game compared to what I expected. 1 goal, a few big hits but not much nastiness or dirt. Maybe the nastiness will develop over the series. Maybe once Reaves is back.

Calgary was the better team in game six other than in goal...every single metric on natural stat trick they dominated. They were also missing their top forward games 2-6
Now I still want improvements but it is what it is. Add a goalie, top six forward, and solidify the D and they are in the convo with these teams.

I hope Vancouver has a big anchor contract ready for him to sign.

to be fair Dallas allowed 25 shots and Vancouver allowed 50...Still Vegas needs to figure out how to bury their chances

Regular-season series: Stars won 1-0-1 (Knights 1-1-0).

Dallas won the round robin game on August 3.
This is the first time the two teams will play each other in the NHL playoffs.

Both teams just finished winning their previous series in 7 grueling games. It'll pick up in game 2 whether Reaves is a factor or not.

Heiskenen is the obvious frontrunner for the Conn Smythe for the Stars.
Who is it for Vegas? Tuch? Lehner? They truly do play a great team game.

Heskeinen looks so amazing. We can only hope Vali is in the same realm of player.

VGK are not patient. They are playing into DAL hands by trying to no look pass through them (the middle of ice) in the offensive zone.
If they want to even the series VGK have to make DAL work hard defensively.

Confidence is a funny thing in hockey. Karlsson scores, Vegas up 2-0. I suspect the Knights may have gotten over their mental hump and the flood gates will now open for them.

That was a bit of a soft goal, but Vegas is looking good so far.

Another penalty. Dallas is not on their game. Mentally they don't seem ready for this.

Theodore scores, 3-0 Vegas. Ooo, I think this gets called back for goalie interference.
