Well, feel free to give yourself a nice pat on the back then. Maybe it will cheer you up.

Vegas had 14 high danger chances, it is what it is...Vancouver was terrible

That was terrible hockey. Completely dominated might be under selling it. Demko was great and the collapse to within 5 feet of the net kind of worked but you knew it wasn't sustainable. Only 3 shots in the first half of the game and 1 on a 5 minute power play? Pathetic. Better than the Flames but they were beyond pathetic.

They are on the right path as long as they don't jump the gun like the Flames did a number of years ago and sign over the hill vets.

Flames had the opposite problem in game six...controlled the play but bad goal tending

Flames game 6: 7 High danger chances against 7 goals against
Canucks game 7: 14 high danger chances against 1 goal against

I think lack of effort from Canucks had to do with the fact Vegas is unreal and they just didn't let up at all and Canucks just gassed. They played a lot of intense games lately. Just happy that Canucks already ahead of Flames and Oilers. Of course gotta see what Benning can do to keep this going

Vancouver was playing with house money and they and everyone knew it, this experience will likely prove to be utter invaluable to the teams development though

The Oilers/Flames could easily finish ahead of the Canucks next season...they likely would have this season without covid

hopefully there is a season so we can find out

First thing you've said that isn't trolling, even if you meant for it to be trolling.

I don't think its trolling to use statistics to shoot down the false narrative that Vancouver played good defensively

I mean they allowed more chances/shots than any other team in the playoffs

good on ya for showing up though..lots of heart

I believe that's the same thing that was being said by Flames fans in 2015 and Oilers fans in 2017.

I thought Demko played great in Game 6. Tonight I found him to be very lucky. He had a hard time controlling rebounds too (still miles better than any Flames goalie, I just find his performance tonight to be overhyped).

I think everyone expected the Oilers to be good in 2017. Turned out they were deeply flawed.

As for the Flames in 2015, well, that actually made sense to say, at the time.

Anyway, interested to see how Benning manages to #### everything up. Should be fun times.

Next year it won't be "house money" people will expect the Canucks to be good...lots of pressure on Demko if he is the starter. They don't have cap space or a 1st or 2nd round pick and I don't see any roster upgrades. The Canucks style of play requires the goalie to carry them at times like Markstrom did all year.

We shall see (I hope)

there is a whole league of teams that expect to be better next season

I really have to question the media falling all over themselves lauding the Canucks and how they showed such growth and potential in pushing the series to the brink.

Did they not just watch the same 3 games I just did? Vancouver rode an all world hot goalie streak and were massively outplayed the entire time. Kudos for the effort but I wouldnt be feeling too sassy if I was a Canuck fan after watching that.

That was amazing by Demko, and Markstrom before that. Canucks do need to improve their defence though. Vegas basically had a hall pass to receive passes in the slot.

Vegas has three key players that need to stay healthy and they can win the cup. Stone, Theodore, and Lehner. I see them beating Dallas.
