So if we see a SHUT OUT from Demko do they really start thinking hard about letting Markstrom walk?

Does look like Demko's in their heads, but I think it's really just the smothering team defense in front of their net. Reminds me of when the Oilers went on their run back in 2006 or whenever that was, when they just wouldn't let the other team get clean shots.

Not the style I expected the Canucks to have work for them, but it's got a long tradition of success in helping the less talented team get to wins in games just like these.

The whole panel talking about how great Vancouver is playing...what did they have 20 seconds of zone time?

Vancouver strategy seems to involve horseshoes. Did they even cross Vegas' blue line in that period?

Between the Canucks and the Flyers blind-ass luck is having a field day so far tonight.

Crazy things happen in the PO. This may be one of them.

So glad we drafted Macdonald over Demko when we had the chance.

Wow, 2-0 Canucks. This one is likely over. I didn't think it was possible for Vegas to blow this series, but it looks like it might actually happen thanks to Vancouver's back-up goaltender, lol. Amazing.

Demko was the highest ranked goalie that year too. No reason to pick Mason over him.

Vegas choked last year after being up 3-1. Looks like they have issues.

I heard Burke talk about it the other day and he said they went with Macdonald because at the time Demko recently had surgeries on both hips.

Edit: After the other guy commented on how it may have been an oversight, Burke just replied with "Mason is a great person." Or something similar.

That was a dumb pick at the time too. It’s not like they made the obvious call and it just didn’t work out.

Vancouver paid us back by taking Juolevi over Tkachuk though so it evens out.

On the positive side. At least I’ll be able to tell my kids about watching the start of Demko’s illustrious hall of fame career. No way this dude doesn’t win 9 Vezina’s and set most major records. And only half sarcastic with that comment.

It was a stupid decision then and looks even worse now.

When Treliving loses his job it will be on the back of his failure to figure out goaltenders and coaches.
