ESPN talking a lot about Leylah. They still don't care about Kenin lol.

Kenin takes the opening set 6-4. Leylah more than holding her own, but needs to cut down on the unforced errors.

Leylah needs to get that first serve in as Kenin is just teeing off on her second serve and earns another break.

I mean, what a nice lob volley to win that game. Leylah might not win this match, but she has a bright future ahead.

I watched a bit of that match, I thought she looked pretty good, loads of potential. I think a match like that will be a fantastic learning experience, so it sucks she lost but she does have a bright future.

A first set tie-breaker between Milos and Vasek - I'm shocked.
Edit: Milos puts the hammer down winning the tie-breaker 7-1

The trainer must have used maple syrup on that rubdown as Vasek breaks Milos.

Vasek takes set 2 6-3 and it's a best-of-three sets match now.

Vasek up 2-1 sets in what is a really good match. Even enjoying the commentary.

I was wondering who was doing the color work alongside Chris Fowler when he mentioned he was Vasek's doubles partner at Wimbledon in 2013 - It's Jesse Levine. It was a good line from Jesse when he said Vasek dumped him in 2014 to partner with Jack Sock and they went on to win Wimbledon.
Jesse: Vasek wouldn't have won Wimbledon with me as his partner.

That's as bad as you'll see Milos serve ever. 69% first serve, 11 double faults.

Surprisingly top notch effort from Pospisil in this one. The fact he was 26/29 at the net was the big difference in this match for sure.
A bit of a drag to see the better overall player not move on, but hopefully Vasek is still healthy, has turned a corner and is able to make a run into the second week. It doesn't get any easier from here with RBA next.
