But seriously, how did they all just forget how to shoot? They're missing uncontested shots, shots from within 8 feet, it's just absurd.

Mostly losing this series is disappointing because the East is back to sucking ass, definitely could beat the Bucks or Heat. West is miles better, as per the last 20 years.

On the plus side, I really like that sideline cam. I wish they showed more of the game using that camera at floor level moving along with the play.

Gasol toast. Played some good defense but that hasn't really been the issue.

Getting the looks.. not knocking them down. This is on the Raps in the end.

One of the worst parts of the transition the last few years to 40 3PT attempts a game per team is that teams view it as the only way to come back. If the Raps tried to play for a few more 2PT FGs maybe they would have scored a few more points this quarter.

Siakam just crumbles, twice, in the big moment. First giving up the ball to Smart, then getting it back luckily when Smart steps out of bounds, and then gives it right back immediately. At that point, you're proving all of the doubters right.

Look, if all your best players just forget how to play, you're obviously going to lose. That was just sad.

Tough one, Boston just knocked down more shots then we did. We had open looks and just missed.

Just shot like absolute ass for most of the game, doesn't matter how good your defense is if you're shooting 40% from the field.

VanVleet 3/12 from 3, and Lowry 0/7. Not a recipe for success.

When you're not hitting those, don't bother. Those ratios are inexcusible from players seen as leaders. Anything can still happen with the Raps, but something tells me they don't wanna be in the bubble any longer. How do you flip the switch like that? There wasn't a substantial amount of time off.

I don't think you can win it all in the NBA without a top 5 maybe 10 player

Matt Winer was talking about that on this podcast:

https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/sta...larbro-country

IIRC, not too many "ensemble" teams win it all - he went all the way back to the Pistons. Most Champions have a top 10 plus a top 20 player?

Is Lowry no longer a top 10 top 20 player?

Even at his absolute peak Lowry was not a top 20 player.

Siakam has to be that top guy for this team, because he is the only one with the size/athleticism combo to create his own shot in any situation. Lowry and VanVleet are tremendous players, but at only 6 feet they just can’t always do it when the game slows down like it did at the end of game 2.

Boston’s D should get lots of credit, but Lowry, VanVleet and Gasol missed numerous open looks that they usually knock down. That cost us game 2.

In the end though, this Raptors team should deserve our trust and support more then any Raptors or Flames team I’ve watched over the years. Down two games, but I absolutely would not count these guys out.
