I am guessing that he will get most of the starts at SS till Bichette gets back. Then I would play him or Biggio at 3rd over Shaw.

Statistically speaking he is worse in the outfield than Fisher, doesn't even have a .970 fielding percentage over his career.

I imagine that will be it for the Jays. All three players are rentals, cost of acquisition for all three appears to be very low, Bergen was a rule 5 guy, we haven’t heard the PTBNL for the Walker pick up, and I can’t see a big piece going to Miami for Villar. Rental pick ups is sort of counter to the typical Atkins approach where he is obsessed with “years of control” but I think this is him telling his team that he believes in them.

Conine is a bit steep for a rental but not egregious. Villar is an excellent piece to add given their needs so I can live with it.
Struck a good balance between supporting the team without taking too much out of the future during the deadline here.

I like getting Villar, don't like giving up Conine. There isn't a lot of OF in the system, so it sucks to give up one of the higher upside OF that were in the system.

Lots to like about Conine’s power, a lot of strikeouts though and only in A ball.
