Really can't put that on Francouz. A bit surprised they pulled him. That was all Makar's fault.

On the replay that looks like it actually curled in towards the net like a soccer ball.

Well, looking very possible now that the Avs will go out in fewer games against the Stars than the Flames did. The playoffs could be over for them as early as tomorrow night.

Avs were a brutal Dallas turnover away from being swept

I would pay at least 100 bucks and wait in line for an hour or more to punch Corey perry in his rat face.

With Grubauer in net I think there would be a decent chance of that, but not with Francouz. He's had stretches of being really good, but overall isn't up to the high level of play in this series.

The way I see it with Dallas is on paper they were more stacked than a warehouse after picking up Pavelski/Perry but on the ice just didn't add up to the sum of its parts, as they scored way less than the skill down the roster would indicate. They were ho hum in round robins and then the Flames showed up and hit them, pissed them off and (Talbot) shut them down early more or less and hung around despite them rising to the occasion. Then they finally clicked when those young d-men shifted into high gear and the group became the monster they were capable of being all year but just underperformed.
Hate them, but they've got the goods.

Dallas has played 9 games this postseason. They've scored 5 or more goals in 5 of those 9 games. They seem to just have everything clicking offensively, while still being a pretty solid defensive team. If that keeps up they win the whole thing. But pucks going in like that can start and stop pretty suddenly.
I would certainly give the Avs a better chance of coming from 3-1 down than any of the other teams who are (or could be) in that position.

Well said. 100% agree. Dallas has always had potential. As much as I hate every fiber of his being, Perry (and Pavelski) may not be in prime form but they are grizzled vets in the playoffs. They are dragging their team into the fight.
Also, just saw the Perry dive on the Mackinnon penalty. JC. Reminds me of that flames playoff game where he looked like he took a shotgun blast to the shin. Only to return 5 min later and score the GWG I believe. F*** I hate him.

If Dallas can continue scoring like we didn't see during the regular season and clean up a little defensively, they have a solid shot against Vegas and whatever Eastern team they would be up against if they made it to the Stanley Cup Finals. They've got the skill, size, and a franchise D that is leading them there.

Dallas has those guys that score those around the net tips and crash and bang type goals...perfect for the playoffs. And they have the D that gets the puck to the net.

With Grubauer this series would likely be 3-1 for Colorado right now. That injury gave Dallas a fighting chance.
