Totally disagree. S**t talk is fun. The Kings have been doing it for years and it's great.

Of all the potential matchups vs Vegas I think the Canucks, the way they are playing, match up well. Flames would have got pasted By VGK the way we were playing. I think the toughest part for Canucks will be the forecheck and pressure on the D by the knights. They come fast and hard. Though they weathered the heavy blues.

The Canucks best weapons against STL were goaltending and speed.

They won't have an advantage with either against VGS.

Lol, in Green’s presser he was talking about the excitement in Vancouver and was about to say the city was ‘on fire’ but caught himself. Nice catch...

With the Flames out, I'm pretty much just cheering for exciting hockey. So I'm actually happy to see Vancouver advance, as they're entertaining enough to watch.

So long as they don't win the cup, of course. But the odds are pretty long on that.

This is by far the most likable version of the Canucks that I can remember in my lifetime. Nobody to hate on that team and they're playing great hockey. That third goal of theirs was an absolute beauty tonight.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm happy to cheer on the Canucks for the rest of their run this year. I hope they make it through another round.

Wondering if we'll see a Vancouver correlation between COVID cases and playoff wins on this run. Going to be tough for people not to go out partying when their team is doing this.

No self respecting Flames fan will get on the Canucks bandwagon.

This thread needs more salt.

People will have different opinions on different pairs, but I think those comparisons make the most sense, and, in aggregate, the two groups are pretty similar overall.
Pettersson > Gaudreau
Boeser = Monahan (Boeser with age to his advantage)
Miller = Tkachuk (Tkachuk has age, Miller is all around solid and a huge driver)
Horvat = Lindholm

And you could argue Pettersson >> Gaudreau. Pettersson is younger, plays a more important position and has a substantially better shot. Playmaking likely similar, skating likely similar.

Also you could argue Boeser > Mony even just due to playoff performance.

Overall, I like the makeup of the Canucks fwds over the Flames.

listening to the St Louis feed they blamed not having Bouwmeester in the line up. personally I think the Canucks are a little bit better than I thought prior to the series, I think the 'bubble' favours younger teams heavily, the guys without families will be far less affected by it and the Canucks key players are younger

To me, the hockey season ends when the Flames is eliminated.

his first playoffs at 21 yrs old and 140 lbs soaking wet.

Hughes is not bad too.

Petey hasn't even dominated in a series yet which is exciting.

The qualifier round was not playoffs. Of course people are going to be near records if they get a whole best of 5 series tacked on.

It pains me deeply to admit that the canuckleheads are light years ahead of the flames. Their window is opening and ours... well I’m not sure it ever was even a window. More like a mild draft or a whisp of a beer fart that briefly floated by.
