You’re right.
But when the forwards aren’t good enough, the D aren’t good enough, the goalies are below grade and the head coach is in over his head, what’s going to happen is they will take turns losing you games.
There are problems littered throughout the lineup and the organization.
It’s not 1,2 or 3 things.
There is very little that is actually right here. A handful of skill sprinkled through the lineup.

I can’t believe how angry I am at Geoff Ward right now.
Pulling Talbot in that situation to put in a guy who’s last real game action was March 8th is just an idiotic mistake.
Honestly I want him fired by the weekend.

End this. Just end this. The progress over last season is quite marginal. Flames had to be much better than this to move Dallas two steps backwards over where they made it last year. But what a pukefest of a series.
