However , he can’t / won’t commit himself physically to getting better and his lifestyle has probably caught up to him and he really needs To dedicate An off-season to getting into NHL shape and disciple .

Some of the other I am not too sure about.

The unfortunate reality Is you can’t rebuild this team on the fly . I guess it’s full rebuild time now ? But the Flames won’t do that .

Trading JG and Monny for spare parts won’t do anything to make this team competitive.

The game is still tied then. You still have it well within your grasp.

Why SIGNIFICANTLY weaken your chances?

I could understand if we went down 3-0 to try to shake it up. But at 3-3?

I think its finally happened. This Flames franchise has actually managed to break me. Like literally I felt the last strings of sanity holding my hockey brain together slowly strain and un coil and snap. And after that last goal, I was sitting on the couch laughing, and my girl came in took one look at me and one look at the TV and left the room.


I think I've actually lost my final will to be a Flames fan after watching this crap show.


I've supported this team for years, and I've defended this franchise, both on a franchise and individual level.



I wrote in the pregame threat that "Frank this they're winning this game and the series". Man they made me look bad again.


I don't know if I'm going to want to bounce back from this, I don't know if I care enough to talk about this team going through a rebuild again. Maybe I'll pull a Homer and wait for this team to prove to me that they're worth my time.

I can't even begin to describe how bad that decision to change goaltenders was. You pull the goalie if he's playing exceptionally poorly, or to fire up a sleepy team. Pulling your goalie after three deflection goals is baffling. Sure, he could have saved a couple, but these aren't clean shots beating him. Then add in the exceptional circumstances that have meant Rittich not playing a real game in five months and it exasperates it.

The coach can't preach composure and game plan with credibility when making a knee-jerk reaction like that.

Mangiapane, Lindholm, Hanifin, Valimaki, Monahan and Backlund are all players you want on your team IMO

Goaltending and coaching need significant improvement

Who knows what they do about the lack of killer instinct and constant disappointments, but hopefully management has an idea of who lacks the commitment and makes some changes
