Damn, really? That's f***in brutal. That's our top offensive player... What a ghost in the post season to go along with our other top line players. Sigh.

At this point, what is Johnny's trade value? Or Monahan? They need to go somewhere else I think.

At least this series has been entertaining. Thought the Flames played okay today.

Holy. Caps already down 2-0 in the first period.

This is not playoff team. Players are soft, weak, can't handle pressure, not willing to lead and take the game. Bunch of passive guys. And the coaches are not better. Asking players to take the team?

Probably not. Which means whatever Calgary does end up getting for him will be a disappointment regardless. I'm convinced he won't re-sign so trading him even before the Seattle draft seems plausible. All we can do as fans is hope he can boost his value before then.

Same thing happened in the Avs series. Which suggests it’s personnel, rather than a coaching issue.

If there was ever a real debate on whether we need to protect him for the expansion draft or not, the answer is pretty clear by now.

Which saves us a spot to protect someone else because at this rate, 0% chance Seattle takes Gio. I’ve always been a diehard Seattle fan. Love the Seahawks, Mariners and Sonics when they were still around. I’d wager my soon-to-be 2nd favorite team will win a Stanley Cup before my 1st favorite team.

I was only able to listen on the radio.

Was Tobias Reider actually deployed to get Johnny and Mony going?
That's how far they've fallen that Reider has to try and wake them up??

If the Flames weren't relying on Monahan to be a #1 C, he'd be a fine enough sniping winger. Other teams love playing against our #1 line. That's been the case for over a year now. Treliving needs to go.

Getting swept sucks but if were the Caps we'd still be high on the Cup win 2 seasons ago.

Really don't think people are giving the Stars enough credit, they were a round Robin team for a reason.

Quality of competition.

Also, Flames are mentally weak.

I think that you explore all trade options, and change who is wearing the C.

Maybe Pittsburgh would be interested in Giordano and Johnny...

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

And look now like used game 1 as a warmup. RR was basically preseason intensity.

At least it’s a covid asterisk year, would’ve been way more embarassing to get bounced like this in a normal year with fans in attendance.

Bring in Rittich. Talbot has way to many rebounds, and our D are tired... Talbot has been good, but every single low shot results in a rebound and a scramble.

Coach had to find a way to get results, only one line can effectively forecheck so maybe don’t dump and chase... have to try to get our best players in better positions to succeed, shorten the bench and try to get better matchups...

Flames had it against Winnipeg. The Jets were trying to figure them out, had no answers and Calgary played like they knew it.
