He's a GTD again. Sorry I should have made that more clear.

Not always. I told a mouthy welder once who worked for me that the squeaky doesn't always get the grease. Sometimes it gets replaced.

Taking a while to get to 5000

So, while Tkachuk is technically a game time decision the morning radio guys made it sound like he's more likely to play than not. Folks who listened - was I reading too much into their comments?
Hockey Central on now, maybe they have more to say

Too many years being hurt by the Flames and knowing the defensive shell leads to misery.

Today's debates on CP:
Sam Bennett
advanced stats
if we can just get a Jankowski discussion going, we have our Trident and victory is assured!

Because they don't go into a defensive shell in prevent mode.

Andersson and Mangiapane might be pretty emotional today, their junior coach passed away.

Mangiapane is another player who hasn't really showed up yet for this series. He was tremendous in the play-in round, and I find myself expecting a lot more from him.

We need to toss in that Monahan is really a 3rd line center as well

I thought he looked really good in game one, but he's looked pretty pedestrian in the last two games. I would definitely love to see more from him, but he's young so even though he's not setting the world on fire, it's valuable experience.

I thought the big debate was who starts the GDT and when.

Scorp adds a lot to these threads btw.

Critical game; let's hope the Flames don't start out flat and take 45 minutes to wake up.
Series is even at 2-2; far from over.

I missed Game 1—was mtn biking in the Kootneys all last week.
Don't get men wrong—I am not down on Mangiapane. Quite to the contrary, I think he could become one of the most important players in the organization in the future. But I also don't think he needs to be insulated from criticism. This is his second playoffs, and he has already demonstrated just how impactful a player he can be. My point is that he is already there, and he needs to more consistently play the way he is presently capable of playing.
I'm looking for a big game from him today.

I agree, but he gets a pass for squashing Perry into the ice and holding him there.
