I picked the Blues in six so part of this is just me sticking to my pick, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they won 3 more in a row and took it in that. They're just... better at hockey. A lot depends on Allen, obviously, as he's capable of just laying an egg at any moment without warning.

Well the thing you have going for you is that Allen was actually the better goalie this year for them during the season.

I actually have a hard time hating their roster right now, I kind of like Hughes, Pettersson, Horvat, etc. Kind of similar to the early 90s where I didn’t mind guys like Linden, Bure, McLean as a young kid.

But the fan base sucks, and I hate them all, so screw the Canucks.

(Blaster isn’t bad but he’s the exception to the rule)

I hate Vegas way more than I hate Van right now.

I agree I like their players now that the Sedin’s, Bieksa, Kesler, Burrows and the like are no longer there.

And yes, their fans are the worst. I respect Oilers fans much much more.

Refs are going to ruin this game after letting them play last night

You can’t whack guys on the hands. It’s slashing. Been the common standard for a long time.

For the record I made that comment after the "cross checking" penalty on the Blues. The slash was a slash

Except when it involves Gaudreau.

How was that not an extra penalty for Roussel? Just started teeing off on Blais’s face and they each get 2 for roughing?

The paradox of watching the make-believe phantom calls, all while allowing a guy to dummy someone is just mind bending. Never change NHL.

I agree. To me that was textbook instigator or at least roughing.

Roussel deserved the extra two there. It wasn't a very smart or disciplined play on his part. If you want to square up do it with both players agreeing to it.

Yeah Blais didn’t even have his gloves off!

The commentators didn’t even mention it?

Just a weird sequence all around.

If that was a Flames player getting pummelled with no call we would have all lost it. That was surreal how that just slid by.

Lucic got suspended for throwing a single punch at a guy who hacked the goalie

That was a ridiculous goal by ROR...but how on earth did he get that much time?

ROR is just such a good all around player. Very underrated.

Yeah I rewound it to look again and I'm leaning on it's Stecher's fault. Shouldn't have two dmen in the corner and even though that was Stecher's corner, Edler had to get there first to be first to the puck I think. Once that happened, Stecher should have backed off to cover the front of the net.

Yeah I was thinking if Rinaldo did the same thing to Koskinen he'd probably say it was a good call by the refs. He has a bone to pick with the Blues for some reason.

That deserved a penalty but Perron has been hacking at Markstrom after ever single save and earlier in the game a Canucks player was pushed right into him by a Blues player.
