CP sure can be downright depressing after a loss. I’ve enjoyed the series, was never going to be easy. Flames have a lot more to give, and clean up the parade to the box which was ugly.

But seriously; the way some peopke post after a loss is embarrassing. The same way we enjoy the “around the league” report, this website if responsible for HF level takes on a game when we lose.

I thought it was a really good hockey game until the 5 consecutive penalties. The Stars turned that into a barrage and the Flames never recovered from it.

Still one simple play away from winning it. However, if Lindholm was in fact out there for over 2 minutes, then I blame Ward, not Lindholm.

Ahhh the part of a pgt after a tough loss where we turn on each other and eat our own.

Couldn't hold the puck in the offensive zone. Couldn't get the puck out of their own zone. Exposed poor Talbot to a thousand shots... Totally agree with Burke: "They deserved to lose this one". Very frustrated right now... I hope Ward is doing something different for Game 5.

I'm all about criticizing the team for poor efforts, that's natural and that's being a fan, its gone so far over the top in terms of negative. People with the series over BS, or ripping down the group of players after a loss that's not based on their play but a feel of long term hatred or bias against them.

Then there's the group that comes on and throws insults at other members of this board for not climbing on board with their hatred and rage.

The Flames fan base is one of the only fanbases that almost mourns their fandom instead of celebrating it.

the whole for the told you so crowd, the I hate these specific players, your a homer because your not blasting then and seeing my brilliance has become annoying and almost makes threads un readable.

Frankly can we not do funeral until the series is over, not rip the team apart until the autopsy is performed and not distribute the assets until the will is probated.

Go ahead criticize the teams effort and player efforts and mistakes, but its gotten so over the top over the last few years that these discussion threads teeter dangerously close to this sucks to read through it territory.
Fair enough. Good post.

We should use Ryan more. Use with Bucklund line. And I really don't like D zone play. Can't win battle, can't breaj out, too passive. There is no presure on Dallas players when they get the puck.

The bit of consolation I'm going to take out of this is that it was expected by most that this was going at least 6 games anyways.

So we're on track for what was pretty well universally anticipated and have every opportunity to steer it home still.

It’s an interesting dilemma.

Do you keep rolling the dice on your tried and true players? Ward’s bet lost. I don’t know if that means he makes the same bet going forward or changes it.

I’ve cooled down a bit. We probably win that game if Reider’s stick doesn’t break in OT.

Sucks to lose but I had this series going 7. Still believe in them.

I always felt like this one would go to 6/7 Games. It seems like a few posters thought the Flames would go 16-0 on route to a cup win.

Is it safe to assume tkachuk is out for the remainder of the series?

As fans its hard to practise what is always preached to the players - never get too high or too low in the playoffs.

I think posters can be forgiven for saying some over the top things in the heat of the moment within ten minutes of a heartbreaking loss. I know some are worse than others.

We are all huge fans, many of us for decades. As I’m sure is the case with many teams it can be hard to be a die hard fan, always hoping for more but always it seems being disappointed.

Frankly...I cant remember commenting on GDTs or OOTs or anything. I used to do OOT threads, but it was a lot of work so I stopped. Now whoever does them.

Someone usually makes them, the only time I really notice is when theres a mistake that corresponds to a great event.

Like, I think HD(?) once drunkenly (allegedly) posted it as a GTD and that become good luck for a while. I miss that guy.

Then there were cars and pickles, Jobu and god knows what else.

If you do the work, post it. It'll get noticed or merged. Sorry, I dont know what else to say. Its all good.

After a game 3 where frankly they deserved to lose but didn't, there was probably a bit of complacency in the locker room, they they could maybe sit back a little and still get the win.

If anything this is a slap in the face in the locker room and a direct challenge that no you're not better then the Stars, no, you can be passive and let them dictate things and find a way to win.

We'll see how the team reacts, that's my question, against the Avs they waived the white flag in the 3rd game.

If he is that would be terrible, if he plays today they probably win.
