Too many turnovers, and way too passive in their own zone. They play like they have the jitters again, at least defensively. Way too much offensive zone time for the Dallas Stars. They need to be much stronger defensively. Hopefully they tighten up next game.

Can you post the score-close numbers?

it was nice to see JG show up and get a goal, he seems engaged Lindy needs to find some mojo too.
Stop taking penalties ffs!

The Flames are literally worse by every single metric this year versus last year. They are simply relying on special teams and praying Talbot plays god-like every game to even stand a chance.
Pathetic.

The plural of anecdote is not data.
Stats guys should look at those numbers and realized how screwed the premise is, not base conclusions on it.

I mean, it looked like Dallas had all the momentum after game 2 going into game 3, and then they show up with a goose egg.
I don't like our odds, but this is hockey. Who knows what happens in game 5.

Calgary has no jam during the OT. Dallas would win the game it was just a matter of time. Glad this was over because it will give the Flames older players a break. Dallas is a better team, if not for Reider and Bennett the Flames will be done by now. I hope the Flames will prevail but it could be my illusion.

Special teams and goaltending are keeping us in this one alongside great play from depth players - and yeah, sometimes that’s what it takes to win a series.
To me, it’s just agonizing to watch our “top” players get fed during 5v5 play.

You don't sound much like a Flames fan maybe you need a different team to cheer for?

Gotta give Dallas credit, they played their asses off.
If Bishop is done for the series, I still like the Flames chances.

Being able to do whatever the hell you want in the third and not called for it certainly helped Dallas with momentum.

Huh, I guess it's not like the Colorado series. Based on the stats, it's worse.
Funny how stats can give that kind of impression. Because Flames are definitely a lot more competitive in this series than the Avs one.

Ya but they are missing Tkachuk and no Hamonic. Having to overuse Forbort is really killing the defence. We are one Dman short right now

We were one broken Reider stick away from being up 3-1 and only lost due to another bad luck broken stick. We don't know that Rieder hits the net there. Played pretty even? The shot attempts were 72-46 and high danger chances were 20-6 for Dallas.

It's almost like changing up the lines wouldn't be the worst thing ever? Geoff Ward is not a good NHL coach. Give me a break.

I am very disappointed in Giordano and Lindholm. If they were at their best, which they should be, the series wouldn't even be close.

F this team. Unacceptable to see the same crap happen over and over. This series is over and this team needs to make some changes. 3-1 series lead nope. 2-0 series lead nope. Find a way to screw it up. Year after year. They may not win another game this series.

Flames had multiple point blank chances in OT...one was a broken stick on an empty net.

These stats have to be normalized to the game situation. Dallas was chasing the game for the last bit and took over these metrics.
This is nothing like last year.
