Didn't like the second period play but not too bad of a game for a back to back.

Or... maybe that's what actually happened, and she simply stated the facts because she wanted to get the tweet out about her husband who just had an awesome game.

I’d like to see Lucic moved to the line with Johnny and Monahan to get them going.

Lindholm centering Bennett and Dube would be good for him too.

Yeah I would like that change for this opponent.

Except I’d like to keep Bennett at C, he’s better there. I’d like to see Lindholm with Backlund and utilize them as a shutdown line with significant offensive abilities.

I’d like to see Lindholm on the Backlund line till Chucky is back and put Quine with Johnny and Mony... At least this way you have a chance of Backlunds line producing. Gaudreau is back to being afraid to get hit again and as long as he’s like this he’s useless. I miss the old Gaudreau who used to weave through traffic with ease

I agree, I would go with something like this :

(Without Chucky)
Rieder-Backlund-Lindholm
Mangiapane-Bennett-Dube
Gaudreau-Monahan-Lucic

Completely bury the Backlund line in defensive zone starts, blend Bennett's line and Ozone heavy Monny.

The thought of Mangiapane, Bennett and Dube together just seems like such a logical combination.

It’s not like it was a 24-carat diamond.
Jewels can be anything for little ones.
I.e. Toys-r-us $7.99 jewel making kit.

I don't want to break up the third line, but if we did, I would like to see the following:

Lucic - Monahan - Gaudreau
Mangiapane - Backlund - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Bennett - Dube

If you're going to label those lines 1 through 3, which is which? Three very even lines, and a case can be made for each, but I think I like the 3rd one the best.

Cam Talbot is now 5th in playoff wins in Calgary Flames history (yes I realize the play in round is a bit of cheat, but whatever)

I just watched the highlight package. Should I assume there's nothing worth watching outside of that and just move on with life???

Also, Cam Talbot is life.
Watch and enjoy the highlight package, tell yourself the whole game was probably just like that, revel in the 2-0 shutout win and 2-1 series lead, rest up for game 4, and profit!

That third one has to be what they envisioned the days we drafted each of those three guys, before Gulutzan happened.

I come back to this Bob Hartley quote all the time - he said it to Patrick Roy ahead of the 2001 playoffs.

“I need you to steal one game a series. Just one. I’ll win one game with my matchups, and the other two are up to the players.”

We all know which game this was.

That's a great quote and great mentality.

I want to know what blackmail Jamie Benn has on the officials that every game he can make late hits and dirty plays and never get called.

For me they have to separate Monahan and Johnny . I’m thinking put Backlund with Lindholm and Johnny .
