The greatest victories are the biggest comebacks my friends. Worth watching for that fact alone!

Hey guys I’m pretty tired so I may go to bed too. But not because I’m giving up, I just can’t keep my eyes open. And it’s only 930 here.
This is the thread to report our bedtimes, right?

Do you think our other goalie is better?
The third goal was weak.
Fourth goal was on the 4th whack.
He deserves to play on, IMO.

3rd goal was terrible. Bouncing goal was terrible yesterday. And the 4th goal was an easy puck to swallow up and he couldn't do it. He's been downright bad this game.

Officials making sure there's plenty of hockey played is all. Make sure it's a 1-1 series.
The game management is so blatant now it's just hard to watch some nights. And I don't even mean because it's going against the Flames here, every team has suffered this now.

Remember the doom and gloom game 2 vs jets?
Remember that they turned it around for game 3 & 4?
Just chill folks

Definitely peeved at the refs in this one.
Calgary was taking momentum in the game, just scored to pull within one, then they call that needless soft call the other way. ####s up everything.

He made some big ones in Game 1 in the 3rd. Rittch has given up his fair share of weak goals as well.

Time to mess with the forward lines.
I'd like to see something like:
Lucic - Dube - Bennett
Gaudreau - Monahan - Ryan
Tkachuk - Lindholm - Jankowski
Mangiapane - Backlund - Rieder
Bishop looks weak so far, so whatever they do, they need to friggin shoot.

That sequence between Gio and Seguin at the end of the period...I just didn't like it.
Gio is running out the clock on the boards and Seguin aggressively roughs him up. If I'm Gio, I drop the gloves and start wailing on Seguin. At worst, it's a good trade off for 5 minutes. At best, it inspires the team to ramp up the energy and intensity heading into the 3rd.
I don't advocate for fighting much these days, but that would have been a perfect spot for the captain to inspire his teammates. Missed opportunity.

The flames can be really really good, but I do worry that, like last year, they struggle to elevate their game. They knew Dallas was going to bring it tonight, but outside of the first minute or two of the game, I haven't seen much of what made them successful in game 1.
Even if we win enough games to get to an elimination situation, I worry they'll struggle to get up for that game.

Seriously though, Gaudreau is very clearly not cut out for the playoffs, right?
He's making it an easy decision when it comes to his future with the team to this point. Don't worry though, according to Kent Wilson: "he's just unlucky!"
He plays timid and I think his frustrations submarine him even further, as we've seen in stretches during the regular season over the years. Such a disappointment to this point.

I'm not a fan of Bennett as a winger, as I think it takes away most of his edgework and shiftyness in the defensive zone. But:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm had zero corsi for and five corsi against.
Gaudreau-Monahan-Bennett has three corsi for and two corsi against, and the Forbort goal was scored by them.
I think it's important for our top players to be involved in shots heading towards the other team's goaltender.

If we are going to win the Cup, you can't have many losses like this. It's one thing to lose but it's another to lose without showing much fight. Cup winning teams are going to look play well even when they lose.
