[GT] Game Two: Go Flames Go

One line was going, need the other three to get some puck pressure in the Dallas zone. Though Johnny looks a bit more involved I think he will start to find his offensive game soon.

Ward has been good about having the team ready to go the last few games. Let's hope he's as good at getting them settled and refocused between periods.

Meh, Dallas didn't look that much better than the Flames. The major difference was their first line looked like a threat out there, while our first and second lines were missing in action.

I think they are, just not together. I remember Monahan having a great playoffs with Ferland back in 2017, although the shooting percentages didn't show it. I also think Gaudreau could benefit from a center with more pace. Maybe swap Dube and Gaudreau.

I don't know why Lindholm keeps getting a pass from everyone. He hasn't made a single offensive play in the playoffs.

Long game, of course the stars would bring it after losing game 1. The flames will get stronger as the game wears on. (And hopefully matt is okay)

Flames fortunate to come out only down by one. Storm weathered.

I thought the Bennett line was great, 2nd d pair were good. Talbot was solid. Everyone else needs to be better.

That top line is completely ineffective. It's easy enough to pile on 13 and 23, but 28 is beyond invisible. Really disappointing.

Outside of the Lucic Bennett Dube line that was a pretty garbage period. Good thing is we're only down by 1 and plenty of time left.

Playing horrible this game, deserve to be down by 2-3

Good opportunity to do a little shuffling between lines 1 and 2 to get more effectiveness out of them.

Take some momentum back in P2.

I'm not sure Dallas has much more to give than what they showed this period.



On paper they should be better, and they elevated their effort level this period, but I just don't get the sense they have the structure to execute to their potential, and effort can only take them so far (or for so long).


The Flames should totally be able to take this. But that's going to mean someone other than Dube scoring a goal at some point.

Yeah the top six players need to get it going. Just incredibly ineffective. We need those lines generating chance during 5v5 play (and hopefully converting).

Looking forward to Gaudreau getting dealt this summer. Not a playoff performer and the Flames need a guy that can play when the games get physical.
