In a 1 goal game, if they limit the 4th line time, I wonder if they would use Ryan on gaudreau's spot on the top line, to get some defensive prowess out there to cover the minutes?

Agreed, but with the other lines leading offensively, I'm fine with Johnny and Monahan working on their game in their own end and the neutral zone more, as they've been better in those zones than during the season.

Gaudreau looks like he's playing with a broken rib. The trouble with this hypothesis is that he has looked like this for about a year and a half. He refuses any contact, actually avoids even incidental contact, and loses the puck (and has no real battle about it) doing so.

Mr 99 points just hasn't looked anything like that since, it's just bizarre.
