Not happening with Lawrence Stroll having a pretty big stake in the team. That, I believe was one of the conditions when he bought the team.
Hulkenberg deserves the seat though, for sure

Really not understanding all the passion for Nico to have a seat. Sure he's a nice guy, but he's had so many years and has very little to show for it, He's not just losing out due to money. You put most of the current back markers in that car and they should easily be able to perform as good or better. jmo
I'm really hoping Stroll can do something in the next few years but I feel he needed to be in a real 1 2 team with a solid mentor fora couple years. If such a thing even exists anymore, seems even the seniors are having to be cut throat to keep driving.

It’s a long shot but I do wonder. Lawrence is a business man. He didn’t buy the team as a toy for his son, that’s just a bonus.
If RP can compete for podiums or top 5s on a regular basis, it’d be well worth his money to have two solid drivers. That is assuming they tap Vettel and he has anything left in the tank.
While I would be surprised, I wouldn’t be totally shocked if RP kept Perez and brought in Vettel. Lance could be a reserve driver and get mentored.

Other than his rookie season he's never raced for a good team, it'd be nice to see what he can truly do

I get that, but it's not much different than half the field. He had 8 years in the sun and now gets to go spend his millions, I'd be ok with that.
It's only going to get worse going forward, all the up and comers know they need to bring money with them, the sport is just as much about the marketing as the talent.
