I don't think either man is "senile". We use that term too loosely. My dad suffered from dementia, and it it much worse than this.

You know that telling people to STFU and get behind your team at all costs is kinda authoritarian, too, right? The guy you like isn't as bad as the guy you hate, but he also really sucks. Get over it.
Also we know how this game is going to go. Once Biden gets in, centrists will keep trying shut progressives up, lest "we" lose the midterms in 2022, and then again in 2024.

It's such a dumb strawman though. Literally no one who is criticizing Biden from the left prefers Biden to Trump. We're still allowed to point out that maybe using junky as a pejorative during a massive opioid crisis is kinda ####ty and perpetuates the stigma surrounding addiction.

The hypocrisy is hilarious considering how those "spineless" Republicans are (rightly) bashed mercilessly in here for just lining up behind Trump and never questioning the guy. It's only bad when the other team does it.

I'm not American so I'm just an arm chair complainer.
But it's totally fair to criticize the balls off Biden. He is a slave to corporate interests which makes him basically Republican-lite in my eyes. Plus he can't string a sentence together which makes me question his cognitive function. Not to mention all the creepy touching and sniffing etc.
Trump is of course worse, but we can still call a spade a spade. Biden is terrible.

The thing you're missing is that Biden is the nominee.
Are there better people than Biden to be president? If there are, they aren't running.
To campaign and decry Biden in a two-party system is an endorsement of the other candidate. You might not mean it to be, you might not think that should be the case, you might hate the other option more. However, in reality it ends up being black and white, 1s and 0s, this or that. There is no grey area.
At this point to be anti-Biden is pro-Trump. Don't hate the players, hate the game.
The last election proved that you can't critique one candidate while silently hating the other. That's what happened to Hillary, and why the US is in the mess it's in currently.

If you watch the video I posted in the link, in any other election, Biden would be outright embarrassing as a candidate.
It's embarrassing for both parties and an indictment of the entire system that these two are choices available. Hell, it's embarrassing that Bernie and Biden were the last two standing for the Democrats. I like Bernie as a person and I like many of his policies, but it's ridiculous that the most progressive voice in the party is a 78 year-old white dude.
