The Bennett hit only looks bad in super slow motion. In real time it was a finished check.

The league didn't suspend Ferland when he speared a Wild player who was on the bench. Benny isn't getting suspended for a clean but awkward hit.

I see where Burke is coming from, but to suggest that Bennett not hit him at all? Burke should know that Bennett was pretty much already locked in to the hit when Perrault turned. Bennett maybe could have let up, but I don't think he could have stopped completely. Have to remember this is probably less than a second between coming in for the hit, Perrault turning, and Bennett hitting him.

I don’t think that Bennett hit is worth a suspension, but I do think it was a missed penalty. Not a major, but I think we got away with a boarding call for sure.
