Reider - jankowski - Rinaldo

Bennett, yet again, is our most engaged and play driving forward this series. Give him more ice time, better linemates.
Replace Monahan with Bennett on a lower line, don't touch the second line

I do wonder if the emotion that BSD brings to a game would benefit the team at this point. A little fire and a little swagger would not hurt and BSD brings all of that.

I feel like he is paying too much attention to being an agitator and looking for those opportunities rather than focusing on the offensive side of it. I could be wrong but it’s hard to focus on two goals at once at the top speed of nhl playoffs.

Nothing needs to be changed with the regular 5v5 lineup or play for that matter. Ya I’d like to see intensity match game 1 but its all about the Powerplay. It was ridiculously bad in Game 2 and if it could of been remotely average we are looking at a 2-0 lead. 0/6 with only 1 high danger chance is going to lose you a lot of games.

My biggest fear for this game is an early dysfunctional powerplay.

Kent Wilson with a good drop of info on the series so far. Plenty of it just stating stats that match the eye test so far.

https://twitter.com/user/status/1290753207686160384

- 4th line has been getting destroyed
- Tkachuk has been poor offensively
- Jets were the worst team in the regular season when it came to allowing high danger scoring chances, yet the Flames aren't getting high danger scoring chances in this series
- Gio has been ineffective during 5v5 play
- Poor PP

This summarizes the first 2 games and the Flames entire season really. Lots of possession (around the perimeter) and trouble generating any offense.

I agree with everyone who is saying that this game likely decides the series. This is the Flames biggest game of the last 5 years imo

Just send out four skaters and voila, problem solved. “We’ll beat you 4-on-4 b****”.

Or, if you want to get tricky about it, send out four skaters and wait until the puck is in your zone. Then casually send out the fifth skater when you get possession and spring him on a breakaway. Gotcha!

Will they get a penalty for not enough man on the ice?

If Sam Bennett is your best player night after night in the playoffs, your team probably will struggle to escape the first round

6 points in his last 6 playoff games, averaging around twelve minutes a night. That doesn't fit your narrative. Those are dominant numbers for the NHL playoffs.

The issue isn't if Bennett is your best player, it's if the rest of the best can play as well as him, or if you can get him more icetime to produce even more.
