Hope they wake up in time for the game tomorrow, because clearly they're not yet awake. That was the sleepiest, most avoidable mistake-prone effort possible. Bleagh.

This was just like games earlier in the season. Unfocused and lacking in attention to any detail. No idea how many odd-man rushes they gave up, but it was a lot.

The flames are who we thought they are. If they play like this again next game i really think its time to blow it up

Mangiapane was the real culprit in the penalty department. That was far dumber than any Bennett penalty. I understand getting one crosscheck in, maybe two but he really went overboard so much the refs had no choice to call him. Petulant.

Really thought they’d have come out and owned that third period. Instead a rather bland effort.

Paging Matthew Tkachuk the skilled hockey player.

Oh come on man... You don't wanna see these guys get swept and rag dolled if they get to play a top seed.

This is the high character, high skill, high physicality, nothing but heart team treliving has built. He deserves a lot of kudos.

Dude, no. Bennett is not in that "bad". You didn't even put Mang in the "bad" despite the fact he got an equally bad penalty.

Bennett scored a 5 on 5 goal and brought speed.

Frustrating, but man just a game of inches. From the PP post at the end of the second, Hellebuyck pad just enough in the way so lucic can't pot it into the net. Both cases the Flames go up one. Instead jets go down the ice and draw a penalty and score. Just get back at it tomorrow.

Didn’t get to watch after the first. Sounds like they had a bad game. Also sounds like no other team has ever had a bad game. Because the only solution is to blow it up.

If the Flames get the PP sorted out, this is a W instead of an L

Unless either Johnny or Sean completely kick it up a gear and go ham then I think their fate is sealed imo. One of them needs to be traded.
They're both valuable players so it's not like it will be for nothing but they're just too soft and situational.
In playoffs where there is little time and space and a need for physicality they have nothing to give.
When Sean isn't wide open to get shots off, he has nothing. He doesn't move around enough to get open, he relies on the defense to lose him.

Flames had 2 powerplays in a tie game. Execute on one of those and you walk away with a victory while playing a sloppy game.

Winnipeg played a perfect game and barely beat us. This didn’t look anything like the Colorado series.

I should know better by this point in time to stay away from PGT’s after loss. Just misery and overreaction

Disappointing and predictable response. I was really hoping for a Flames third period where they dominate but instead they were unable to raise their game.

That garbage blueline coupled with a weak forward group and we give up 3 and can’t get more than 2. It is not like Helleybuck stole the game we just didn’t have it today. Instead of having to win 1 of 3 games it is a best of 3. Glad they are back at it tomorrow

I've seen this story line someplace before? Seems like the Flames stick to the same script regardless of coaching or talent on the team.

Both teams powerplays were bad to start, but the Jets improved as the game went on and the Flames got worse. Calgary couldn't even maintain possession of the puck 80% of the time on the PP... I do wonder if Gaudreau is hurt or something as he baubled the puck so many times and seemed to play so tentatively. Monahan and Tkachuk not making the impact that they should be for players of their caliber (Tkachuk still being a good agitator but not showing nearly enough skill). Talbot made some great saves though.

Pretty disappointing series to watch so far from a skill perspective compared to some of the other series. Connor probably the most dynamic player to watch so far for either team, we have been lucky to not see him hit the scoresheet.

Our top two players are what they are.

And it isn't good enough.
